It was on r/JustUnsubbed. Unsubbed from there.
What’s the context? What kind of harm are we talking about?
+1 to this.
Was it consensual harm? Important details needed.

All fine that you think a kink is weird or don’t understand it. There are enough kinks out there that wouldn’t be appealing in the least to me as well. But as long as we are talking about an consensual act and no real harm is done, either communicate those thoughts in a respectful way or keep them to yourself.
Telling somebody it is fucked up that they enjoy or masturbate to something that is done consentually and that they are disgusting for it, is nothing more than kink-shaming. Calling it harassment might be a bit much, but that you received some backlash (if you’ll pardon the pun) seems to be warranted in this case.
Comments like yours wouldn’t fly on any properly moderated community
Sounds like Reddit made the right call this time.
Ok, that makes you the scumbag
Similar happened with me when some people were justifying beating ones wife as moral and right of the husband !
Thats 100% on you for not unsubbing from Reddit.

In that case, consider making suggestions on github so that it can be considered.

Then consider making your own community so the content you miss gets here. Comes with the added benefit that you can steal some articles from reddit.
I got banned for 3 days because I told a pedophile in dm’s (he messaged me first and I said I was 16) to kill himself and then a few hours later reddit banned me and when I put in an appeal they rejected it.
But at least it gave me my final push to move to lemmy.
The tipping point for me was getting a sitewide ban for commenting “It’s always OK to punch a Nazi.”
Hey, same. Might have even been the same thread; they were banning everyone who was pro-Nazi punching in a post about Nazi-punching. They kept the main post up, though.
I reported someone for saying they would rail a child character from a video game but got a message back from the admins saying it didn’t violate any rules.
r/justunsubbed might be the stupidest subreddit concept out there

Sounds about right. I reported the /r/ryona sub repeated over the years. It’s a sub dedicated to sexualizing violence against women. It finally got taken down for being unmoderated, so they switched to /r/ryona_, and now /r/RyonaHentai. Every time I reported I’d get a message saying “Thanks for submitting a report to the Reddit admin team. After investigating, we’ve found that the reported content doesn’t violate Reddit’s Content Policy.” The admins literally don’t give a fuck unless it makes the news
I was permabanned for “spreading hate” because I said that a fascist Italy should be kicked out of NATO & the EU. Explained in my appeal that both institutions require democratic foundations, which also got denied. AEO monkeys doing AEO monkey things.
Permabanned for “hateful content” when I quoted what a cop said to me, in a thread about cops doing shitty things, in a private subreddit, when I went to report an assault.
Sadists gotta get off too!
