  • Definitely. Back when I used FB and Twitter I learned that reporting is entirely useless. You just end up with some automated message about how they reviewed it and it “didn’t violate their community standards” with some lame verbiage like “we realize this isn’t the outcome you were looking for”, regardless of how ridiculously blatant whatever you reported was. On the flip side, I was banned for clearly misinterpreted or brigaded comments, and then an appeal just gives you the inverse where they reviewed it and whatever you posted was definitely terrible and they “realize this isn’t the outcome you were looking for”.

  • The parties did switch but it’s more complex than a black/white thing since political ideas have changed over the past 100 years. And as such, comparing is political parties of the current time to those of 180 years ago is absurd.

Dixiecrats switching to republicans is definitely a real thing and it happened around the 50s and 60s. In any event, which political party likes confederate flags is a decent question at this point. The party of Lincoln? That would be odd.

  • Right. I think people just see the downvote and pile on. It’s easier than actually reading the post and figuring out the person’s demeanor and whether it’s sarcastic and so on. There are a few other dynamics about that. Some people look for people whose posts are downvoted so they can chide them, scold them, insult or argue with them. I have had comments that are originally misinterpreted or targeted for ideology that end up turning around, though. Sounding rational or clarifying in replies sometimes works, as long as the comment wasn’t too far down before other people actually read it. If you get a defensive or insulting attitude, though, there’s nothing people on reddit like downvoting more than that.

  • I started using WindowMaker to n an old laptop that was mainly for playing music and I ended up loving it. It kinda reminds me of using an Amiga. Super fast to start, lightweight in terms of ram, and does everything I need. I like the squishy luxuries of KDE sometimes but it’s been a little over complicated since KDE 4.

The dude has been told that countless times and obviously doesn’t remotely give a fuck. Makes you wonder why he’s going so hard for months on a strategy that could only result in helping Trump, huh? Sure af wouldn’t help Palestinians or “reform the democrats” as is claimed.

You don’t seem to have read or followed any of the logic here. Why’s that?

Someone who would otherwise vote for Harris voting 3rd party would help Trump win. Pretty simple. Not sure what’s so hard to understand about that. And Trump would be just as bad on Gaza, worst likely, and worse on every other issue facing the country as well. Not sure how many times we have to say it.
