Reading the Aslan DLC for Love Spell, but really wanting a darker more interactive story. It feels like a kinetic novel at this point. But I want to mark it off my list.

I read the openings for both Collar X Malice and Code: Realize last night to see which one attracted me more first. Code Realize seems more like what I’m in the mood for, protagonist wise, but the first Love Interest I met seems like a rolling eyes moment (Lupin) CxM had a protagonist introduced as having problems with telling people no and also a pretty contrived modern world situation.

When I looked into Variable barricade it seemed like it was just… a rich 17 year old ordered by rich grandpa to live in mansion with 4 other dudes and pick a husband. And they’re all way older so it just sounded not ideal. Did it turn out better than I thought?

  • The romance interest story order is

    Crius the Knight Supervisor
    Tyril the Inquisitor
    Zenn the Isekai detective
    Lucien the 3rd prince

although it’s a stretch to call some of these romances. It’s similar to Steam Prison where it’s focused more on the badass protagonist getting through the narrative. And Anastasia was a great protagonist! In my top 5.

I don’t think the title, Even if Tempest, bhad anything to do with anything. Things were chaotic I suppose (tempest). But these things are often not originally English and sometimes they just throw some words together.

Zenn was the one who stole my heart with the most romantic murder ever. Lucien didn’t really have time to breathe as a romance on screen, crius got the most stereotypical romance stuff, and Tyril had some but still very little romance scenes.

I wasn’t playing Otome for many months now. First it was because of life and now it’s because of Baldur’s Gate 3. But once I finish that game, I do see myself going back to Otome. I still have so many I already purchased and want to read. I especially enjoyed the thread we were doing about trying this year’s Otome Jam games because those are ignored on Reddit. 🤷🏻‍♀️ So these is very little other places to even interact about them…but I do see that there is even less activity than when it started in the summer.

I prefer to pay for content, 100%, but it gets ridiculous that last decade or so, the shops themselves stop supporting digital content from their servers. So one is not guaranteed the content they bought ‘forever’. And that kinda feels like stealing in a way, on their part. At the same time, I think it is close to never that I replay any game. Even my favorite, Dragon Age, I played 5 times each. I still talk about the world and want to see more, but I don’t know if I’d ever sit down and play them again all the way through, every quest. So do I really need them to support the content beyond 10 years? probably not. But they are even stopping selling physical content so it’s like, I’m losing my right to store a game on my dusty shelf while they max their profits.

  • Inspired by Bo from Lost Girl being a mature succubus story that still gets steamy and has strong romance. Coming of age story about a succubus figuring out their powers and making decisions about what they care about and what they want their future to be. Navigating difficult parental relationships. And definitely lots of mature steamy sex, romance optional.

Also just kind of haunting epic fantasy hero stories, more like Oathbreaker 1 and 2. But I’m like anti slice of life and super into Dragon Age so I’m biased. :D

  • Demonheart:

one of the romantic interests becomes obsessed with MC- I think he’s just a meathead that literally can’t tell lust from love. Tries to kiss and rape you you no matter what you say or do. She can fight him off and kick him in the balls. And somehow you can get an “let’s be together” confession from this creature.

    It’s insane.

That’s the least offensive but still bad route I’ve completed. I won’t bring up the game I’ve nicknamed “The Rapists of Yoshiwara.”
