True. I’m certainly at the point where quick jobs that I would have once done in Python quite often get done in Dart instead, avoiding the “context switch” of having to think in Python for that one task.

Yes, when I did a search, I found I had a choice between two quite small and inactive communities, so I went for the slightly larger one. I’ll crosspost today’s post to that community see if it stirs up any more interest.
Yes, I really adopted it due to Flutter, but the dev team really are doing great work to make it a nice language, especially with version 3.
So sad that everyone’s talking about the phone calls rather than asking if Gail’s okay.
Haha, I’m glad I wasted all my (gifted) Reddit Gold on Christian’s farewell to Apollo posts.
Obligatory fuck u/spez, as we used to say on that old site.
You forgot: uses dark mode.
It took them a worryingly long time to process mine, but they did reply just before Fleddit day, so I think it’s incompetence rather than conspiracy.
Make sure that the drop-down at the top of your posts list says “local/all/subscribed@lemmy.world”: that way you’ll be seeing the posts and is your home instance and be able to comment on them.
There’s this if anyone needs a starter: https://lemmy.world/post/959507
I wrote a simple updater that uses your GDPR request data to drive a browser automation tool (Puppeteer) to update your entire account history. It’s in Dart and should be easy to adapt into other languages https://lemmy.world/post/959507
You never wash your belt? I bet you never wash the poop-knife either.
Sheesh.
And on the same day when they fucked up their infrastructure so badly that they had to rate-limit all users. Yeah, okay Elon, you can host my community for me.
I hate that this comment got downvoted. It’s a valid thing to worry about and has generated some interesting replies
Yes, if you don’t tip they will call you a Canadian or worse.
I may be new in Lemmy years but I’m old in Reddit years, so that’s gonna stay unclicked 😀
The house was horrible enough to start with; a characterless inter-war bungalow with fake timbering and fake leaded glass. The conversion is just differently horrible.
For me it’s the destruction of the garden that warrants it being here. I know it’s the UK so the sun isn’t always available (edit: just seen the Zoopla link, it’s Bolton, so change “always” to “ever”) , but losing shade and shelter like that is a tragedy in any climate.
You can add Liftoff! under macOS too. We’ve not done any work specifically to make it a first class Mac app, but it installs and runs perfectly using TestFlight for Mac.
Edit: sorry just realised that this is the original post reformatted. Looks really good, great work!
Great list. I’m amazed how excited everyone is about Lemmy. This really is going to happen.
Fyi Limbo and Lemmynade have combined forces, and are now Liftoff!
Isn’t every video game just moving colourful blocks?
(Except Quake obviously)
