Fincher, Fassenbender, Tilda Swinton and Trent Reznor on the soundtrack. How could this be a no?

This just keeps getting better and better!
Agreed, basically what I live off anyhow. But then it is leaf water, so unsure if the rules would allow!
Everyone is different! I like to think of them as different tools, so whatever works best for the job at hand.
Honestly I find that making physical hand written notes better cements the ideas in my head. It may be because I’m older so I started with only pen and paper which means that’s how I best think, but for me writing and typing are two different tools and I tend to use both.
Your advice reminds me of a saying, if you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together
Also my advice is on a slightly more existential note is, ‘you can’t take any of it with you’. Which I always took to mean don’t live for consumerist things, and stuff as its not what is truly valuable in life and it likely won’t be stuff and things that you are thinking about in the end.
Walking alone and tending to my allotment. Although sometimes trying to get things to grow can be a bit frustrating!
Love this sentiment! I think we are in a bit of a teething period where people aren’t quite sure but hopefully everyone embraces and contributes!
This is both of us, and also why we never get through any new series. We always end up having to backtrack to find out where we fell asleep and eventually just get bored of doing so!
We’ve got to spend the time to help the place grow! (and other excuses)
He’s written some of my favourite books. I’m a big fan of the Dark Tower Books, a brilliant book series and complete which is a big plus. Under the dome is also a great read, shame about the TV series. Haven’t read any of his most well known works though!

I feel like I’ve been glued to kbin since joining, and adding new posts and articles to the smaller communities I want to see active. With varying degrees of success. I was only a lurker on reddit so this is quite a lot of activity for me! Trying to embody the idea of ‘be the change you want to see’…
I don’t want to create magazines though as I don’t want to moderate and feel they would be better created by someone more dedicated.
Oh and breakfast was a sesame bagel!
We do need action on all levels of society, and we need to be treating this as a crisis.
On a local level (in the UK) there are a lot more community and Council groups being setup to try and find solutions I would absolutely recommend attending those.
Other than that, ensure your pension is invested in green and eco investments and try to fly less (maybe even drive less).
There are often talks of carbon taxing, but removing subsidies would seen to be the obvious first step. Subdiside greener options instead.
I’m enjoying this aspect of the push back against reddit management. Ironically there was a great niche subreddit actually dedicated to vacuumcleaners and suggesting the best ones
You know I’ve often wanted to learn more knot tying options, especially when I’m doing things around the garden. I’ll have to take your advice and learn some!
Do you have an recommendations of which ones to learn or resources?
Weirdly I’m subbed to 162, so almost exactly the same. Not sure of the kbin/lemmy breakdown.
Most of the communities are still really small or inactive but I’m subbed in the hope they develop in the next few weeks or so.
And then you can’t get back to sleep after…
