I disliked the effects of weed back when it was illegal (Canada); just made me paranoid. Our legalization of recreational marijuana helped me understand that weed is more than THC. (Anything I’d have smoked back in the 90s was probably crazy amounts of sole THC.)

Legalization has allowed me to experiment with CBD levels. Now I get a 1:2 ratio of THC:CBD and it’s a completely different thing. I’m relaxed, smiley, glued to the couch and off of Benzos. (I like Mango Haze.)

I know it’s not for everyone, and I’m not a pusher, but I thought I’d mention that CBD is a game changer. (There is CBG now too.)

Thanks for the recommendations. I tried that a few years ago and still didn’t like it. There are only two situations where I can enjoy it. The first is if I’m already hammered drunk, but I don’t drink anymore. The second is if I’m in the high country backpacking. I do that quite a bit, but I have such a great time up there anyways, I don’t see the need to do any drugs. If I’m with someone who is passing it around, I might take a hit. Otherwise I just leave it alone. It’s not for me, unfortunately.

Yes, but… speaking from experience, it is definitely possible to overdo it on that angle. The psychological impacts of heavy long term use are… shall we say, unsubtle, but at the same time, REALLY hard to admit and see for yourself if you’re in the throes of it.

Moderation and T-breaks are frankly pretty crucial.

Oh definitely! I agree. I vape on a more or less daily basis, which is based on medical advice and a prescription, and even then I think it’s important to take some time out every now and then.
