  • When Noah was on some of the Jupiter Broadcasting podcasts, he had a number of right-wing editorialized viewpoints during discussions. Chris didn’t seem to bite much on them (at least, at the time), so I’m guessing Chris didn’t care for it much (speculating here). I stopped listening simply because of off-handed comments I’d hear Noah make. It didn’t happen that often, but it was enough to put me off listening. I honestly suspect Noah is more center than right-wing, but I’d much rather he just kept on topic and checked his political leanings at the door.

Now that it’s Chris and other hosts, Linux Action News and Linux Unplugged might be good ones to check out, if you’re into Linux.

Since it seems to mainly be for Instagram people, looks like I have no use of it as I don’t use Instagram.

I suppose once ActivityPub integration is turned on, the barrier of entry for me following someone from the Threads instance will be much lower so I might end up following some people there from my Mastodon account. If they’re worth following, that is :)

Seriously. People who think “free speech” somehow means “I can lie, slander, and be a dick all I want” with zero consequences are utterly stupid. It’s also extremely funny, and concerning, that those same people are claiming that anti-free-speech equates to left wing. They really are that clueless.

  • No. I am a person who bases beliefs on logic and reason. There is no logic or reason for religion or spirituality. I see it as a delusion based in the hopes and fears of a person, instead of reality that can be measured and quantified.

I don’t begrudge others having such religious or spiritualistic beliefs, as long as it is kept within oneself. My main issues for religionists:

    • Don’t legislate it
    • Don’t have it in schools
    • Don’t indoctrinate children
    • Keep it strictly personal.

Sadly, I will die and decompose back to the universe with millions (or billions) of people who still want (and succeed in doing so) to make laws based on their specific religious ideals and brainwash children into it.
