Brooklyn 99, Babylon 5, Star Trek various series. We pick a series to watch while we eat dinner. Sometimes it’s a series we haven’t seen fully before (we may start Cheers soon), and sometimes it’s one we’ve seen multiple times (Avatar the Last Airbender, Star Wars Rebels, etc). It’s fun :)
As expected. I’m eager to see how everything will play out. I’m happy Kotick will finally be completely gone, but I’m not happy about consolidation.
When Noah was on some of the Jupiter Broadcasting podcasts, he had a number of right-wing editorialized viewpoints during discussions. Chris didn’t seem to bite much on them (at least, at the time), so I’m guessing Chris didn’t care for it much (speculating here). I stopped listening simply because of off-handed comments I’d hear Noah make. It didn’t happen that often, but it was enough to put me off listening. I honestly suspect Noah is more center than right-wing, but I’d much rather he just kept on topic and checked his political leanings at the door.
Now that it’s Chris and other hosts, Linux Action News and Linux Unplugged might be good ones to check out, if you’re into Linux.
This is tempting. I would advise just making money off the domain name. I’d wager someone might pay you for it.
Which is why Lemmy needs OAuth for instances, and working 2FA. Seems like they at least want OAuth.
Since it seems to mainly be for Instagram people, looks like I have no use of it as I don’t use Instagram.
I suppose once ActivityPub integration is turned on, the barrier of entry for me following someone from the Threads instance will be much lower so I might end up following some people there from my Mastodon account. If they’re worth following, that is :)
Shocker
It’s the New York Times! They couldn’t even take the time to proofread the very first sentence :) Journalism has such a low bar these days.
“Extreme is increasing electricity demand as people crank up the AC.”
I suppose that’s a sentence?
The problem is that many of those same people think their opinions are fact.
I blocked the dipshit as well :) Thank you for being an amazing admin!!
Seriously. People who think “free speech” somehow means “I can lie, slander, and be a dick all I want” with zero consequences are utterly stupid. It’s also extremely funny, and concerning, that those same people are claiming that anti-free-speech equates to left wing. They really are that clueless.
Oh wow, didn’t realize it was so many all at once! Thanks for getting me in within 2 days even, that seems fast given the backlog.
Mlem is a good beginning, but I hope for an Apollo-level quality app for Lemmy. It’ll come, in time. And perhaps SyncForLemmy will be just that!
it will only hurt his company more
And as long as he’s CEO, good. I’m a 15 year veteran of Reddit, and Huffman has done nothing but drive it into the ground. 10 days and counting for when I purge everything on Reddit and delete my account. It’s going to be a sad day for me. I loved that site.
No. I am a person who bases beliefs on logic and reason. There is no logic or reason for religion or spirituality. I see it as a delusion based in the hopes and fears of a person, instead of reality that can be measured and quantified.
I don’t begrudge others having such religious or spiritualistic beliefs, as long as it is kept within oneself. My main issues for religionists:
Sadly, I will die and decompose back to the universe with millions (or billions) of people who still want (and succeed in doing so) to make laws based on their specific religious ideals and brainwash children into it.
We play Star Trek Ascendancy from time to time. The only flaw in that game is the sheer downtime each player ends up enduring. Otherwise it’s a wonderful game.
Of course they are. Because literally everyone and everything is screwing all of us who aren’t super rich.
