It’s a standalone AP. No controller. Two different SSIDs.
I’ve had it running now for 2 hours and of course now it works. The only change since last time is that I’ve reset the AP and did a firmware upgrade. Perhaps that fixed it…

There’s only a single DHCP server, a Pihole, which also serves as DNS. Switch B is a cheaper switch, so that may be the culprit. I use it for heavy downloading from my Xbox and that is never a big issue. Speeds fluctuate from 100 to 900mbps (my max) but that’s not necessarily a switch problem.
Yep, thanks for checking, there’s only 1 DHCP server on my network. I’ve just moved it back to behind switch B and will do more investigation when the problem occurs again.
I’ve just moved it back to behind switch B, will do testing as you suggest.
The switch doesn’t have POE, the Unifi AP does use POE via its own POE injector.
Thanks. I’ve recently reset it, it has its own IP via DHCP. I’ve just moved it back to behind switch B, will do testing as you suggest.
Yeah think I’ll get a standalone WiFi smart plug, not connected to my Home Assistant, as a kill switch. But you’re right, it’s overkill.
I found some weird things in the logs, this goes beyond my knowledge :( See https://lemmy.nz/comment/6192604
Welcome in the rabbit hole of selfhosted enthousiast.
Haha yes looks like it. I only have 1 server (to be bought) and a RPI, which should be sufficient. Proxmox seems overkill for that scenario; I’ll just run Docker. Thanks.
What is the advantage of running proxmox vs install eg Ubuntu, Docker, and manage it via ssh and Portainer?
Yes, unless you vpn to home of course.
Second vote for Kagi. I’ve read so many good stories about it here, so gave it a try. First time didn’t really like it, but gave it a second try, and now am paying user. Not for everyone, the Mrs doesn’t like it.
Why not use Stremio with Realdebrid, then you don’t need a vpn :)
I’ve got a QNAP. Relatively happy with it, as it’s easier to manage than DIY, but it’s hard to migrate to a different brand as the RAID implementation is proprietary, so can’t just plug the disks in a different brand. First NAS lasted about 7 years until it was too slow, new one is about 5 years and still going strong.
DIY gives you more flexibility, but also more maintenance.
Apparently something about the CEO. With Firefox not working properly and no support for adblockers on Chrome I don’t see any other alternative.
I’ve the same thing. This is a very old issue and it’s still not resolved. It seems Android prefers Chromium based browsers as it doesn’t happen there. I tried everything, nothing helped. So had to revert to Brave.
I’ve got a CCWGTV and can’t be happier. Replaced the default launcher with Stremio, Streamtube and Kodi prominent at the top.
Thanks for the explanation!
Thanks, I have no idea what you’re talking about though as I’m on Windows :)
Not sure what site that is you’ve linked, but the official site seems to be this one: https://freetubeapp.io/
It works perfectly with Libredirect. Thank you!
AC Lite. It doesn’t need controller, it’s standalone. I configure it via the mobile app.
