Sync is my favorite
The description says unless it’s a dire emergency
Don’t images also link back to the original instance?
Lol that’s true feel stupid idk why I never thought of that
I always forget my laundry and then it gets smelly. Same with drying I forget to take it out and then it becomes all wrinkled
I think that’s my experience as well playing modern games as well. Seems CPU is a bottle neck. Hogwarts Legacy gets 25-40 frames no matter if I put the graphics on high or medium, BG3 is similar. I think the CPU is holding it back
Modern game engines don’t use the amazing SSAA (super sampling anti aliasing). Most have post processing anti aliasing like FXAA or TXAA which always makes edges look fuzzy. Source engine is one of those that still supports super sampling
I still have a i7 3770 from 2012 and a GTX 1080. What does it feel like now to upgrade?
Honestly I have a gtx1080 and I can run BG3 at close to ultra settings for around 30-60fps. I think my actual issue is my CPU I have an i7 3770 which came out in like 2012. And I have like ddr 3 ram from 10 years ago as well.
You can use the terminal commands to automate tasks, build cicd etc. Navigating file tree and performing tasks is much quicker once you get the hang of it. Lastly it translates well on all distros and even on Mac, or windows with wsl or cygwin
Just adding on that recursion could be problematic if used in the wrong way, like too many calls can over flow the call stack (assuming the compiler is not able to optimize that away).
The first result from Google was the official Python.org docs for me
Mind = blown, I didn’t know Lemmy could talk to mastadon
I believe Mac does this as well. If you have a lot of ram the os will use more ram as cache cause unused ram is wasted ram
Can confirm, bought a Dell latitude 4790 which is a corporate machine refurbished for $270. It’s super powerful for the price, runs Fedora perfectly.
I bought a refurbished dall latitude 7490 for like 270$. For the price it’s a powerful machine, 16gb ram and i7 processor. Installed fedora on it and I’m in love with it. For the price it puts out the power I need for software development.
This week I bought a used Dell latitude 4790 for 300$ on Amazon and installed fedora on it. I love it! So light weight and customizable. I wish I had tried it sooner
It is anxiety inducing, it’s hard to even realize it because they always keep you busy. And they discourage you from having friends outside the religion and teach you that people outside have miserable lives, they only do drugs, drink alcohol and have sex. Anyone outside is only nice to you because they want to take advantage of you.
Youre taught to be scared of the outside world so you never explore it and realize that normal people really are just normal and most people are actually very friendly and want to help each other, and are a million times less judgemental than other JWs.
In other words, it’s a cult.
You can pay 20$ to remove the ads from within the app. The ads never bothered me. I used to have Sync for Reddit and that one I had paid like $5 to remove ads. But I think the developer had stopped updating it for like a year before sync for Lemmy came out. Maybe not enough incentive
