@StillPaisleyCat Weird. Maybe Canada has a different line-up than the US?
@StillPaisleyCat @Tired8281 There are two #startrek channels on Pluto, which is free with ads. One runs TOS and TNG. The other ran DS9 for months and now runs Voyager.
@fci @ValueSubtracted I agree with the greater potential with DS9 and Voyager. I remember a documentary on DS9 where Ira Steven Behr got the writers together and made them brainstorm a new DS9 season pilot and thought it sounded awesome. Unlike many, I was really, really, not enthused with Picard S3.
@Ministar I agree with most of this (and #DoctorWho had the same issue at some point… how many times can the universe be rebooted???). But the whole thing has become about people’s feelings, including the dang computer, like you said, right when there is a mortal danger at hand. A lot of the characters have become just bundles of feelings and it’s just not that interesting. #StarTrek #STDiscovery. That is where the other series (LD, Prodigy, and SNW) are much more successful, in my opinion.
@maino82 @oehm Agreed. The show because of Shohreh Aghdashloo, whose casting was a stroke of genius. And the books because it’s a great story. Silo (on Apple TV) is also great. #ScienceFiction
