Saw this in the theater a few weeks back for the Fathom anniversary event.
Still excellent and unfortunately, still hits pretty close on its message about consumerism and control.
RIP Roddy. You are missed. What an entertainer.

FFS, can’t even buy stickers anymore with out researching if the company is a horror show.
One more place I’m not shopping at any more I guess.
Got it. Thanks! I wasn’t even close.
For a buck, why not… I like the doofy looking bear. What is that the mascot for?
I’m in the process of swapping over now. Certainly some speed bumps after many years of Windows, but it’s been kind of fun.
There are a few games I’ve hit that I can’t play, but that why I’m dual booting for the near future. Linux as the daily driver and then back to windows when I have to.
This movie rules. Excellent special effects, Sam Raimi doing his thing, the score, all of it.
The sequels…not so good.
It looks like a candy factory explosion and I love it.
Why not both Wills?
Will Forte is in this as a human.
First to mind is Tim Fowers. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve played by him. New game with his name on it? Gimme…
Just back from seeing it and thought it was excellent. Super entertaining, and really dig the art style.
Played a few rounds of Thunder Road Vendetta, finally breaking out the Choppe Shoppe expansion. Such a fun game if you can deal with unexpected chaos.
And as usual a few rounds of Unmatched. I’ve just got Doctor Strange left to play and I’ve played everyone at least once.
Eagerly awaiting the early showing on 7/31. This looks like a blast and seeing so many positive reviews already is awesome.
Great list. Flashpoint semi replaced Pandemic for our group for a short period of time. I love the theme of that one. Some really excellent expansions for that one too. Who doesn’t want to be a fire fighting dog?
Haven’t thought about this game in years. But I loved it.
This prompted a reinstall and 2 quick games where I remembered how bad I am at it.
Same here. I’ve got a whole shelf just of his games. He’s got so many interesting ideas.
I don’t have Paperback, but I did get the solo deck builder Paperback Adventures and think it’s awesome.
Love, love, love Burgle Bros 1 and 2.
We have also been playing lots of Hanabi lately and having a blast (pun intended)
Friday is a great little card game that plays fairly quick and can get tossed in a backpack easily.
This is pretty close to my process too. I also try to play at least a few turns of a dummy game against myself after reading the rules, just to get a vibe of how turns go.
I think I played this game once back when I first got it.
Of course, now I have to see if the app still works on any of my devices so that I can keep not getting around to playing it.
Just as a caution, I did go download the Windows app off their website just to have a copy laying around in case I need it.
Yep I’m in for this one
I already have M vs C 2 for my Dreamcast (both Japanese and US versions) and I bought the 1up cabinet with almost all the games in this collection on it.
But I’m still in for this collection to have a much easier way to play these games whenever I want. These bring back VERY fond memories of my arcade days.
