PayPal is always an option. If it isn’t an option then nope the fuck out.

Actually sounds like a pretty standard case of feature creep, the bane of all large scale software. A vicious cycle of trying to do too much, failing, and then needing more people to maintain all of the crappy code. All the while they can’t make any actual forward progress on things that do matter.
Not sure why they had to blow up like that. At its core Reddit should have been relatively simple to create and maintain.
Holy shit does that thing have functionality. Elden Ring split screen with only one copy? Deep Rock Galactic split screen? Dark Souls 1 and 3? Sign me the fuck up!
Wingspan is a very solid port of the board game.
Since Wingspan is on there, why not put tabletop simulator on there too? It has got pretty much the same set of features in regards to multiplayer.
On that note, both of these games also have a “pass controller around” feature as well.
Eh, this doesn’t sound anywhere near as impressive as what Valve did for Proton itself. First of all, Proton is actually good to the point where native linux ports aren’t even needed (although appreciated), its not just for dev prototyping.
And as the top post said, Apple’s fork of CrossOver is not public. Pretty expected from Apple by this point.
Most people don’t seem to know this oddly, but in lots of parts of the world people don’t really care for dogs. Wild dogs are more common outside of the first world and they can be extremely dangerous. People will often get injured by one and be afraid of dogs for the rest of their lives. I had a roommate from the middle east while I was in college and he said he did not care for dogs at all.
It is also pretty common these days for people to straight up not follow the law in regards to their dogs. Having dogs off leash in a nature area seems to be very common nowadays. My own dog gets very nervous while near an off leash dog and I basically had to stop taking him with me on hikes since they are so common. Makes me very angry.
I can recommend the new Deep Rock Galactic board game. Great time. It looks like it should be a complex game with all of its minis but each session is less than 1.5 hours from my experience. Also, the minis are fantastic, definitely worth the price and space :).
Probably have to install separate mods to give it PS2 graphics to even get it to work at 20fps lol.
Damn, these are jacked specs. Literally just upgraded in January from my old ryzen 2600x and 1070ti combo to a 6700xt and ryzen 5600x. My new GPU doesn’t even meet the recommended specs wtf lol.
Diablo 2 has aged fantastically. It is still pretty much the king of the genre despite being 23 years old. D2R did a lot to bring the visuals up to date. Unlike other ARPGs, you can actually beat the game pretty fast if you know what you are doing. It’s a very efficient and clean game design. The game is a blast to play casually.
Always a bit of a turn off for me. Ross (guy that did Gordon’s mind and game dungeon) has a pretty good series of videos about why online only games are bad because they can be killed. He really hates the idea of killing games, and I agree with him.
Not only can the game get killed, however, but it can be changed fundamentally in a bad way. Balance can be tweaked for the worse etc. And unlike single player games you can’t revert back to a previous version.
I also hate that LAN play has been pretty much stripped from the PC game landscape. LAN parties during college were the shit.
Wow, RedReader somehow managed to get spared due to its accessibility features. Was not on my bingo card at all. I guess somehow I can still manage to use Reddit completely ad free, but who knows for how long. Even better, the RedReader dev might have plans to integrate Lemmy into it.
My current favs are Wingspan, Dune Imperium, and Deep Rock Galactic (both a great video game and board game!).
Gyro on steam deck isn’t really something you want to rely upon as much as gyro on a controller. Since you are physically moving the device it will move the screen which can mess you up. Have some kind of toggle for the gyro if you want, but you kind of just have to get used to the trackpad for aiming.
It has been good for me for aiming in tears of the kingdom but unlike and FPS it basically only activates when you actually need it, when you pull out your bow. In FPS games you are constantly moving your camera around so gyro gets annoying.
Basically for third person action games gyro = good but FPS games it is not as good.
I watched MrLlama’s (popular d2 speedrunner) videos about d4 and decided I will most likely hold out for a sale or deep deep sale before I get the game. From the sounds of it d2 is still just straight up superior in most categories. Especially with the new remake making it look almost as nice. And since I still have d2r and still haven’t gotten my enigma yet, why not go back into to it?
If anything d4 has made me want to play d2 more lol. I am glad people are enjoying d4 though. Much different song and dance this time around than when d3 released.
My current biggest gripe is that I am fearful Blizzard is somehow going to take a perfectly functional game and somehow ruin it, since it is a live service game after all, and it is Blizzard. Thus the wait for a sale.
Can’t believe I saw no mention of adblockers in this thread yet. On android you can get firefox set up with ublock origin and also other add ons, including dark reader and sponsorblock. Firefox on ios doesn’t have that functionality.
Adblocker that I can control is way too big of a functionality. I can never go over to ios.
