Coke Zero hits the spot for me
Valve is in a pure win-win situation. The popularity of the Deck has led to an explosion in PC handhelds. Even if they take it easy, they have shown there is a market for people wanting to play their pc games on the go (or just in this form factor). Even if they’re not exactly buying the SD, Steam is still the choice storefront for devices like the Ally , Go, and the 50,000 smaller companies (Ayaneo, GPD etc.). I initially bought my Ally for GamePass and found myself buying more games on Steam .
Oh thank god. Keep him far away. I understand the vision he went with (which was more introduced by Cuarón than anything) but I really didn’t appreciate missing key scenes from the books, poorly executing the Hallows and the final battle, and how poor duels were. The only time there was some creativity was Dumbledore vs Voldemort in OoTP. Outside of that it was who can push harder with their wand.
There wasn’t much real “magic” in the last few movies.
This is exactly what they need. At least a Big Picture mode where it boots to a launcher. That and they should scan all games on their computer. Not just Xbox games.
Lol you know what , maybe I do need sleep.
I had an ROG Ally which I just returned. Currently waiting on the Legion Go now and see how the reviews are.
There were a few reasons why I picked the Ally over the Deck such as the screen and power but the main thing really was windows for GamePass. I already use it with my Xbox so just being able to natively play so many games was a value I couldn’t beat. Cross saves also work well so I could play something at home and then take the Ally with me on the go seamlessly. I think the Deck is great but personal factors made the Ally a no brainer.
My biggest complaint with Windows is how there’s no Big picture mode for the Xbox app. Steam on windows does better than Microsoft on its own platform. I hope there’s a fox for it at some point. Sleep is also really annoying but wasn’t that big of a deal breaker. Otherwise windows hasn’t been so bad. I’ve been enjoying using it as a desktop as well coding or watching Netflix etc. I know that goes against the grain in this community but there is definitely a place for Windows handhelds in the market. Now let’s hope Microsoft sees that and makes some changes so it works as flawlessly (at least 90% cmon) as the Deck does.
Arrival I think would be a great choice.
Letterboxd has been slowly filling that void for me
Our aversion to nuclear energy PR wise has been a disaster. It’s very difficult for the general public to fully buy into nuclear power with all the misinformation spread about it. Hope we start to slowly veer back towards it.
Yeah I definitely agree with this one (but there’s definitely arguments both ways so nice for interpretation). I really enjoyed how May was basically Peter Parker’s (wo)man in the chair in ITSV.
Actually I don’t think this was even a theory. This was the original intent but the studio thought it was too complex for the GA to understand.
Lol okay I’ve never heard of this one . Any links where it’s more in depth?
Oh not a fan of the JarJar one but the life force one is really intriguing. Would’ve been nice to show more hints of that in media such as Rebels, Kenobi, or the comics. Vader slowly forming doubt would also help with his decision to betray him in Jedi.
I just re-watched Signs yesterday after what could be over a decade ago. This time I went in with the perspective of the very popular fan-theory that the aliens were demons the entire time. It really enhanced the movie for me and helped me appreciate the Reverend’s story more. The main theme of the movie should be on his story of believing again after the passing of her wife. The illogical actions of what’s considered very advanced aliens detracted from that and the overall movie suffered from this criticism. The theory of them being demons helped to alleviate and even enhance the movie for me and I enjoyed it far more upon re-watch.
Just to be clear , I’m fairly sure Shyamalan’s intention wasn’t for them to be demons as there are a lot of inconsistencies for that to be true. But if you can look past those issues, the movie becomes far more enjoyable with its theme of faith.
I really enjoyed Control. Just finished it the main story and AWE dlc recently. Gotta go through the foundation one now.
I loved both! I think I enjoyed Alan Wake more when I was playing it back on the 360. But looking back now I think Control is definitely the better game.AW just holds a special place with me as It was so unique for its time.
Still need to finish the Foundation DLC for Control! I really enjoyed the AWE dlc but wish I didn’t know Alan Wake 2 was being released before I played it. By the way what did you think of the Alan Wale dlc? The gameplay mechanics were getting a little tiresome.
Did you play the AWE dlc?
Very excited for this. This was one of my favorite games on 360 when it came out. Just recently played the remastered and felt it was a bit repetitive. Hope they’re able to get some variation going with the combat for the sequel.
I still need to go through the DLC. Has anyone gone through them?

I think internal docs showed that Microsoft is leaving that to other vendors. I have the Legion go and it’s been amazing with GamePass. But I’m starting to buy more games on Steam now 😂
