  • I never cared a lot. While I do notice the difference immediately, it never makes the experience differ in the long run. I have watched full length movies on the cover screen of my Samsung Zflip5 without feeling that I missed out on anything.

I have a nintendo switch which I have used a lot. Even though I have a nice 55" TV and a decent soundbar, I very rarely connect the switch to the TV. I much rather use it in handheld mode so I can sit in any angle in the sofa. I guess I value comfort a lot higher than high fidelity.

  • From the article:

"Given that this restaurant is neither owned nor operated by Disney, we are merely defending ourselves against the plaintiff’s attorney’s attempt to include us in their lawsuit against the restaurant.”

I don’t have anything to defend or oppose that argument, but if it’s true, why would disney have to be a part of the lawsuit at all? Isn’t it then just a terrible preemptive move to refer to terms of the Disney+ membership?

  • Fluent in Norwegian and English. Norwegian allows me to basically fully understand Swedish and Danish, but my mimicking/mocking of those languages does probably not count as languages I can speak.

I also have some very rusty german education which would probably allow me to be understood, but hardly enough to have a conversation.

  • I really don’t have a clue, but calculating averages might yield results which don’t represent a directly applicable value. If some people lose tens of years due to dramatic complications, it could weigh up a lot for people who barely lose any life length.

Again, I’m just guessing wildly, but anything which scares people away from smoking is good in my opinion.

There are a variety of reasons, and of course there exists people who are in full control of their weight, but decide to not do anything about it. What I’m hinting at is that there are also a lot of people who suffer with deeper psycological issues. We don’t really tease depressed people with nick names and expect them to just snap out of it at any time. Hence I feel like we should generally treat heavier people with respect instead of assuming that it’s their active choice.

Yep, the same way people can take full control of their depression, alcoholism or other psycological issues. It’s all about just rolling up those sleeves and deciding not to have the issues. So we can safely assume that all heavier people are a result of them actively choosing to become heavy, so we should always treat them as such.

Ugh, I really don’t want to feed into conspiracy. I just want to explore the ideas of the conspiracy theories to have better arguments against them. So I wonder, have people talked about that Trump could see it as a win-win either if he got killed or not? If he realizes that he is of old age and wants his ideology passed on to younger generations, becoming some kind of martyr would serve as a boost to his case, and there are many followers of him who would be ready to take his place.

I guess that the problem with disproving conspiracy theories is that once you have a good argument, another crazier theory could easily emerge. I really hope that the investigations lead to some good, hard evidence and that this could be put to rest.
