I had it in my S4 GPE. While it was fun messing around with TVs in random bars, I didn’t really use it.
It feels like bullshit. Didn’t MythBusters debunk this?
When interviewing, if a company gives you the “We work hard and we play hard” line, run. It actually means tons of unpaid overtime in exchange for some snacks and a broken ping-pong table.
Some fair points. Your convention analogy doesn’t really work though. What would happen if convention organizers started asking the talent they are booking to also pay?
More people are catching onto the “I have altered the deal, pray I don’t alter it any further” mentality of huge corporations that have only gotten to where they are because of content creators, and it should scare Google.
Google is triple-dipping at this point. Youtube advertisers are already paying, they want users to pay, and now they want content creators to pay. Might as well also ask their CDNs to pay at this point. Also don’t forget to have the Linux Foundation pay for the privilege of having their source code in Google’s proprietary codebase.
He originally wanted “Model 3” to be called “Model E” so that the three (at the time) Tesla models could spell out “SEX”. Fortunately that name was already taken. He’s a petulant child.
LSL was a pioneer in micro-transactions. This was pre Internet, mind you. If you got stuck, you could call a paid 1-900 number for hints or straight walkthroughs, and they charged ~$4 per minute. Don’t ask me how I know.
SC2 was so good. I was really excited for SC3… but then it came out.
Difficult to pick a single fave. Here are the games I’ve spent most of my time playing back then.
On PC:
On arcade, mostly fighting games, and some side-scrollers:
Want to go back to the 80s? Lode Runner, Rescue on Fractalus! and Karateka. Also Gyruss introduced me to modern remixes of classical music.
Where’s the “none of the above” choice? Aside from keeping the time, all I want from a smartwatch is the ability to see its screen both in the dark and under direct sunlight, a week-long battery life, 5ATM water resistance rating, receiving notifications from my phone (with the ability to dismiss them), ability to have customizable watch faces, and finally the ability to accept standard size watch bands. The last watch I’ve owned that could do almost all of that (aside from standard bands or ) was Pebble Steel. I still miss it to this day.
Everything else was an overpriced disappointment. I don’t need it to monitor my heart rate, or my blood oxygen level, or my blood alcohol level. I don’t want it to prod me or give me pep talks, or make phone calls, or play music, since my phone can do all of that better.
City builder simulators like Foundation or Cities: Skylines. Anything with a Pause button.
That’s not how UBI is supposed to work. You would certainly have enough time to do what you like, just not the resources. Any money you’d get would only cover the absolute necessities like shelter and food.
“Sorry, but we are monetizing
ouryour content now”
Fixed that for you.
ADAn’t get it.
People are anti-capitalist because capitalist is anti-people.
MxO was awesome! I’m still bummed I couldn’t be there for the final shutdown event.
Um… Isn’t that EverQuest?
Jamie Afar?
