USS Healthcare for All
We all know this. We are all powerless to change it. Corporations and governments control whether or not it can be changed. Politicians worldwide are being fed by the pollution industry. The poors voting changes nothing until the corporations and politicians decide to do something about it.
Walkable cities? Great idea. Needs politicians to approve zoning restrictions. Don’t drive cars? Great idea. Needs politicians to build public transportation infrastructure. Electric cars? Great idea. Needs corporations to produce them at an affordable cost. Etc etc etc.
There will never be a day when 10 billion people in the world get on the same page to demand the end of anything. We can’t even get a tenth of that many to agree to stop killing each other over border squabbles.
Basically self-diagnosed at 35 due to this. Therapist backed it up and agreed, but there isn’t really anything anyone is going to do with a 35 year old other than maybe give you some anti-anxiety medicine occasionally after hassling you about it.
I’m trying to learn banjo. I’m not sure it’s supposed to be played with whole notes, but fuckit. It’s what I can do, ok?
Honestly, I didn’t even think to just go to another planet without stopping by my ship first. That’s somehow… worse? I thought it was super weird when I realized I could do it from the outpost without a ship nearby, but hadn’t thought to just fast travel everywhere all the time.
Or, and I know this is a crazy idea, Bethesda could have made a game that has enough content to fill the space (pun intended) they created. Yes. I can run back to my ship through the mined out area I just cleared just to prove a point that the game is as flawless as you’d like to believe. Or, I can offer one fair critique of the game.
I’m looking forward to what modders do with the canvas Bethesda has provided.
I told my buddy the other day that it was Bethesda Menu Simulator 2023, and I wasn’t wrong. I was working on my outpost, so I’d place some stuff, go to star map, select the planet with the material, pick a landing spot, land, get up, mine ore for 5 minutes, fast travel to ship, repeat 2-3 more planets, choose the outpost, land, place some more stuff. Then repeat.
Toto makes a handheld battery powered travel bidet, if you didn’t know. Instructions are in Japanese, but you can probably figure it out cuz there are illustrations.
Same, for better or worse.
My reddut account was from 2012. 2010 is when digg died and reddit took off more. So, reddit had 13 years to develop its content flow. This person couldn’t stay around 13 weeks to see what Lemmy could be.
Yeah. Conservatives are all about the reasoned, rational discourse and would never say anything that anyone would consture as hate speech. /eyeroll
I’m doing my part!
It also seems Reddit has turned on rate limiting early. I’ve had to run PDS a number of times to try and get all of my comments. At first I was just editing them, but since it’s rate limited, it would only get 1 comment every few seconds, with the reddit server responding “You’ve done this too much recently, try waiting 3 seconds” in between.
I’ve now moved on to editing and then deleting, since it won’t keep cycling over the edited messages and overwriting them again. I wish PDS would check to see if the comment had already been edited by a previous run and skip if the comment already contained the message chosen to replace. Then you could run it as many times as needed to replace all comments.
From each according to his ability, to each according to his memes.
This is correct. This article is reddit-approved propaganda. People were not shown nsfw content without their consent until reddit admins removed the subs’ nsfw status and set them back to sfw. This article also doesn’t account for the fact that subs’ own users voted to change the content of the subs, and then reddit claimed that subs must remain open and available to the users who have formed communities on them. The communities decided they wanted a different type of community, and reddit said no.
I wish people would stop working for free for this multi-billion dollar corporation so they’d actually have to pay for moderation and not get to profit off of the free labor of its users.
Mind over magic, Gord, Wizard with a Gun, maybe the lies of p
I’d probably say “consenting adults” when it comes to who people love instead of “within legal constraints”, because if conservatives could make gay people illegal, they would. But otherwise, I’m with you 100%.
I don’t go to church, think church is probably one of the most dangerous places for kids to be around adults, and still don’t care if people choose to force their kids to go to church. It’s just not my business who people choose to associate with as long as they’re not harming others.
Three, actually, if you count the indicted guy, the current governor, and the Miami mayor.
This reminds me of the scene from Narcos where Escobar is sitting in his “prison” with no one around.
Bernie Sanders was the best-positioned potential third party candidate in probably the last 50-100 years. Why, then, didn’t Bernie run as a third party candidate? Because it’s not a viable strategy in the FPTP way we run elections here. He knew that it would be the worst option.
There isn’t a viable “other way”.
