We gave our kid their first proper smartphone when they had to do a bit of travel to get to school. However, I’ve fully embraced the parental controls of Google family link and Microsoft safety and it’s been great so far. The combination of both provides incredibly granular controls to what they can see on the web, how long they use specific apps and what apps they’re allowed to install.
How can I get started on usenet? I’ve been wanting to use it for years but never figured out how…
Like, seriously Neil.
As far as I know, the authentication and activation is done via your 365/microsoft account if you have one.
bonus
Edit: yeah I got the wrong sub.
Airsonic is only for the web. For actually accessing my music I use either substreamer or that new Tempo app on GitHub. Much better experience.
I use lidarr to manage my existing library and use airsonic to listen to it. For me it works great and I can import tracks from my Spotify playlist. But yeah, it’s more of a nice to have, for me personally. I use it mainly to keep things tidy.
Tmux for life
Do you mean like an Iiframe browser plugin? Sadly, I don’t know of any but have been looking for options also.
I have had the same experience switching from deluge to qbittorrrent. It’s like, another world.
I asked perplexity.ai to guide me through it all and I both learned as well as getting it all working.
Homarr should fit the bill I reckon :)
I just checked the GitHub page and it shows it’s now deprecated. Do you have the option to install lidarr normally?
Still looking for someone else’s solution to solve a problem I haven’t yet encountered, I reckon.
It was back in the early 2000s. There was a monthly magazine on Linux and my first issue included the complete install for suse Linux. I was hooked. It’s been a journey since.
My setup is lidarr+airsonic. This setup fulfills all the requirements you listed. The webplayer is really good and you can use free apps to stream your library on mobile devices. Highly recommend “substreamer” for iOS and android. To access my library at home, I use Twingate (Zero Trrust Access VPN that uses the QUIC protocol and it’s lightning fast). Also, the mobile app allows for offline playback and has cool playlist builder features.
Aka a genocide I reckon.
lol. Harsh, but very fair.
Already had that happen with perplexity, like, no mate, I’m asking you.
