Does it ever bother you that this place is full of nitwits and trolls, many of whom make Reddit seem civilized and well-managed by comparison?
Yeah, me neither.
It had the vibe of something someone really wanted to “be a meme” and therefore it was flogged extremely aggressively. But, you know, there was beans. God, so fucking hilarious. Especially the millionth one, that was the best of the lot.
Still unironically better than the jeans shit that followed shortly after, though.
So this might make me seem surly, my excuse is that I watched “rage comics” get run into the ground over on Reddit, along with that hideous narwhal bullshit, and cringe like that sticks with you.
Yeah, and none of that is new in any kind of sense, but suddenly now it’s an issue with this specific word.
I just feel it’s weird how many people suddenly have an issue with the word “weird” now that someone used it against a Republican once. Oh, the humanity, for such a word to be (very accurately) applied, oh, the horror.
Are you American? If no, then you are dreadfully fortunate enough to not have to deal with it. Every election year is a bunch of apes flinging shit and this is just another turd in flight.
But if you still want the rundown it is “HA HA MAN FUK COUCH LELELELELELELELELE” and apparently it isn’t even true. Credible, though, I know.
The subtitle means it isn’t canon. “Koma gag battle” means like a cartoon contest in this case.
Yeah, and how does that seem to be working out.
Some .ml cunt being a nutwad? Truly shocked, man.
Presumably it’d interfere with .ml etc censoring dissenting (i.e. sane) opinions, which is why it’s not happening. Same as how instance blocking was like pulling teeth

What you want is not what you’re asking. You want less politics, judging by the other replies. People here will not give it to you, as furiously political circlejerking is part of Lemmy etc from its inception
Winning is relative, they can’t stop distribution if the creators are careful about it.
A lot of it was lightweight enough that archival sites etc might not have specifically ruled them out, aside from specific efforts to preserve Flash material. There are also modded versions of Flash Player and emulators that can still play SWFs, and FLV remains supported fairly commonly.
