I downloaded some 200mb episodes on telegram but I’ve never seen such bs before. Because of that I only download from the Usenet and have a look on the nfo before.
The same goes with mobile apps then and now. I remember a time when Instagram was about 20-30mb large and today it’s like 200mb and more.
It’s probably the best solution. Unfortunately you won’t have access to the real jellyfin UI
I use a modded spotify on ms smartphone but also downloaded some playlists with onthespot and that’s all I need
The list of blocked instances made me switch from feddit.de to the current instance I’m using.
It’s pretty good for movies and tv shows but that’s it (at least in my country). For software or games there are much better websites. But still I absolutely love the Usenet. I prefer forums over indexer because they’re free and also have every show and movie I wanted to download.
There are still alternative frontends like piped.video that don’t show ads
Maybe we should go back in time and use mailing lists or usenet forums.
I use ddg most of the time. It fits all my needs. Sometimes when it comes to very niche things or complicated things I use startpage or brave.

First I looked up which instances still accept new users. Then I wanted to see if the instance is blocking other instances or porn and stuff like that. And after some research I found the right one. Besides that it’s German and the person behind that also hosts other fediverse services.
After finding the right instance (which doesn’t block any other instances) I’m really happy. I’m surprised how many communities exist that existed before on reddit
