I’ve done this too. Someone who was not outputting the same amount of work as their colleagues, or when they did it was simple stuff with no real innovative features. The bare minimum.

Pulled logs off their machine, and they spent 4 hours on Google maps (they’re also a taxi driver after hours) and messing about on PayPal for another few hours (they also did some consultancy).

There was around 37 minutes of work done that day.

They were no longer burdened with this job which seemed to interfere with their other evening/weekend jobs.

I just use my teeth and it horrifys anyone I’m with…

I get paid 4 weekly so get 13 pays a year.

Even better if you keep schtoom about it and automate your work from home job allowing you to just chill for most of the day.

The only benefit to an automatic is being able to eat a burrito while driving.

My apprenticeship is 4 years long and I work 36 hours a week, then need to do the learning and academic work which is around an additional 35 hours a week.

I’m just rolling into year 4 and I’m pretty tired now.

I’m also the only one left, everyone else who started in my cohort has dropped out because of the workload.

This is innovation, and problem solving the small stuff is a very important skill in the modern day work environment.

It doesn’t make the work any more or less valid. If you can Google something in under a minute, don’t bother spending a tonne of time trying to remember it.
