Certainly not all scary. I don’t work with these that collect the data but wonder if it isn’t just some deviceData.collect() function or something.
I just installed this and am trying the app tracking protection (it’s in beta, for those reading who haven’t used it). Shockingly, Candy Crush Soda doesn’t come up with a list of junk being tracked. whew or something

Change the Sort Type in your account settings. Much better than changing it manually every time you visit.

I’d guess there’s impact if they’re forcing subs to reopen via threats and generally acting like tyrants with the self control of a toddler.
It’s almost like reddit took a page from the Elon Handbook of Management or something. I think most people will immediately go back to reddit, or try to use both for a bit. People who used something that wasn’t the official app may end up here (but maybe not for the same amount of time per day/week/etc).
Whatever it is that reddit wants to monetize about its users via its app specifically is not something I want any part of.
