Ikr?! Some basic QoL things that got introduced in KotOR 2 made so much sense and on repeat playthroughs of KotOR I kept trying to do those things only to remember they don’t exist lol
That mod sounds really interesting!

I really really want to check out their other works, especially FNV. I find it comical how both FNV and K2 were created in such a short time and because of that plagued with issues but both excelled in their writing, storytelling, world-building and as you mentioned, deconstructing commonly established tropes about the franchises (the cherry on top imo).
It definitely took me a while to realise what her true meaning was by those lectures and while I don’t fully agree with everything that she says, some of the things do make sense and have a point (if not for being presented in a rather unsavoury way but I think that was the intention) also yes RCM does help with that… a lot! Which makes disagreeing with Kriea in some areas a lot less frustrating.
Jolee Bindo is awesome and the stories he has to share (and the life lessons too) are really really meaningful and it was nice to see someone perceiving the Jedi as flawed rather than do no evil types.
I’ve always found the first KotOR to be in the vein of a typical Star Wars story (Like the OT one), it’s something fun to engage with and fun to follow but KotOR 2 made me a huge fan of the “we’ll deconstruct every thing you knew about Star Wars to its core and you’re going to like it.” approach and boy oh boy do I like it! That story left such a huge imprint on me, I’ve been yearning for another story as good as KotOR 2’s since I first played. Each playthrough, I’m always taken aback by how good it is. They really did craft a masterpiece with this one and it shows. Wish the final game was finished and wasn’t so buggy but we have TSLRCM for that ehhehe.
I wish the options were a bit more flexible in that regard ahaha, like if the game said a little maayyybeee, perhaps it would’ve been smoother.
I’ve found that the force wave and the group stasis force powers do wonders for crowd control. I wish the armour in KotOR 1 was like KotOR 2’s and I didn’t have to significantly trade defense points to be able to use these advanced powers but by that time in the game, I’m powerful enough to withstand it all… it’d just be nice if I could actually do that…
Very true for the death match with Bendak Starkiller!
This dilemma and seemingly contradicting moral enforcement really messed with me on my first playthrough lol, I was like, “wtf do you want, woman? In your eyes beating up this poor innocent man is just as bad as helping him out with a few credits… so, what is it then??” and every time I tried to follow her way (I didn’t pick the right options that’d have her and I in agreement) she’d get even more pissed off and at the latter half of the playthrough I was like yeah I’ll see you in my next playthrough. Buh-bye cryptic grey force user!
I’ve been juggling between S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly (adding more mods to my already big modlist as usual lol, can’t stop!), O A.D., Oblivion, Roblox and Life is Strange 1 (In anticipation of Double Exposure coming out in a few days though I won’t be able to play it, still excited!)
Now add some Sriracha for extra customization
You can say it’d be quite… explosive! heh.
Landmines in my ass
iirc the devs have added Disk Encryption support and it’ll ship in the next release (Orchid). I can imagine how confusing and frustrating that must’ve been!
Maybe I’ll give Vanilla OS another try when Orchid releases
Vanilla OS. I loved the idea of having access to so many packaging formats and package managers at my fingertips but maintaining the system, managing everything and keeping in mind all the things that I’m doing was just too much work for me when I just wanted a system that I can use without any hassle. I know immutable distros are quite the buzz these days but it just isn’t for me. That was also the time when I was trying to find an Ubuntu based vanilla GNOME distro
I had known what Linux was but I never really was interested in finding out what it was. That was, until, 2021 came around and I became more privacy conscious. Learning more about Open Source software and it’s philosophy, switching completely to FOSS software (besides ROM) on my phone and then slowly looking into Linux. I was fascinated by it, this wholly new world as it seemed to me… ready to explore and learn so much from. Of course, someone who’s used windows most of his life will definitely think of it as a challenge to learn to use Linux and adapt to it. I started supporting and using more and more OSS and loved it, so naturally I also had became a bit more interested in Linux. After I became privacy conscious, I also wanted to get away from Big Tech and I already hated using Windows by that point. That was because I’ve had a low end PC most of my life, I stuck around with Windows 7 until 2019 where it became EOL and I had to switch to Windows 10. It was an awful experience, running windows 10 on older and low end hardware.
Then came 2022, I had a new upgraded system and it was more mid-range than low-end now. I started using Linux in VMs and learnt more and more about it, I tried to switch full time but couldn’t because of a few things that I just cannot live without. Truth be told I’m still using Windows, there’s just one thing holding me back and all other things I’ve either adapted to, learnt or have found an alternative for. I know some people will hurl insults at me for saying I dislike Big Tech but also use Windows and call myself privacy conscious but It is what it is. I use Linux part-time in VMs and I really enjoy it. As soon as that use case is covered, I’ll be making a full switch to Linux.
Apologies if this went a little off-topic haha, couldn’t help myself I’m afraid
I see, honestly I HOPE it was some stupid child because if it was an adult with a functioning brain then idk what to say
yep, sadly that’s true
Indian censorship is comically bad and living in this country, seeing day-to-day examples of this is a lot of fun. How shit of a direction this country is taking. Talk about a judge being completely out of touch with how Wikipedia works and functions. Dangerous tool my ass, useful tool to keep people in check. They tried blocking Proton now it’s Wikipedia… what’s next, google??? Since disinformation and misinformation can be found on it too? I swear nothing appeases them except blatant false information pandering to assholes like these.
India is become a censorship haven in all aspects slowly and slowly. It’s scary.
