From how I understand it, it appears they are saying that the bug was that it was possible to build externally.

I don’t have a deck but I do have a laptop with very similar specs and it has severe issues with performance. It isn’t much better on my partner’s GTX 1080 either.

gtk3-classic still doesn’t work properly on Wayland and I doubt it will ever be fixed so I include WAYLAND_DISPLAY=0 in each shortcut file to force them into xwayland.
