I have a feeling they’re cracking down on personal subreddits due to their own loophole in the upcoming change to NSFW content. If I interpreted everything correctly, Mods still get to see the full range of NSFW content, meaning seeing NSFW content even in subs that they aren’t a Mod in, whereas regular Reddit users are restricted.

In any case, I find it ironic that they talk about the duty of being a Moderator with such importance, and yet Mods aren’t even paid, AND… it’s quite a common thing that many subs have wildly corrupt Mods. I’ve no joke been PERMANENTLY banned from certain subs for criticizing a movie, a recent episode in a TV show, etc, and I wasn’t even a member of the sub for more than 24 hours. Like, ok, maybe I’m being a bit more harsh in my criticism than others, but when did it become a crime to have an opinion?

I’m not even a Mod. I’m simply a regular user, who relied on the various Third Party Apps, who expressed support of the protests.

And yet Bozo himself, Steve Huffman, said the protests were of no serious manner, and yet Reddit Admins are using the full weight of their power to silence people who go against what they say.

Have any recommendations for apps that allow tags and/or filters? I’d rather not be notified of every post on a subreddit but rather posts based around keywords, if that’s possible.

I seem to be on an IP watchlist for Reddit now lmao. Any new account gets instantly banned now. I’ll get the first message welcoming me to Reddit, and then immediately after I get the permanently suspended message. And this all started just from my support of the Blackout and saying subs should absolutely go private indefinitely. So yeah, suffice to say Reddit is a dump.

And in all honesty I was already slowly distancing myself from Reddit before shit popped off. The internet is simply noise. There are things that I like to keep updated with, but a lot of it is just noise. Discussions are more like arguments nowadays, so what do I even gain from publicly making a comment on a topic? Nobody gives a fuck whether or not I’m going to play that new video game, watch that new movie, etc., and the feeling is mutual because I know I don’t give a shit about what people do either.

Anyway, sorry for the rant. Quick question about RSS though: is there any apps that can filter by keywords? So like, only send me notifications when it picks up something that matches the words that I want. Like, if I follow r/Apple for example, I’d want to be notified of new iOS updates.

Every time spez speaks he literally contradicts himself. I genuinely can’t even comprehend the shit that he spews. He literally says multiple contradictory statements in the same sentence. It’s like watching someone know they can’t win an argument, so instead they just spew random shit hoping something lands.

I’m still hesitant to sign up on Kick from what happened with Mixer and Facebook. Not to mention, nobody is going to Kick without a Kick-specific contract. No streamer is just gonna wake up and be like, “Lemme jump to Kick and rebuild my audience from scratch just for funsies.”

Reddit Admins are actually taking the time to ban the people making these comments.

Reddit really should be taking notes from Twitter, although in all honesty they probably are, but in ways for how to make money and screw over the people rather than caring for the people. Every day there’s something new being monetized on Twitter. Pretty soon you’ll have to be a Twitter Blue subscriber if you want to DM more than one person. I can already see Reddit going down the same route even just mere months from now.

And yet mods keep claiming they HAVE to keep their subs open all while banning people who call them out. I’m legitimately being PERMANENTLY banned from sub after sub after sub for simply just reminding mods that they mod for free and they are actively choosing to stand behind Reddit by keeping their subs open. I mean, hey, I guess banning me only gives me more reason to leave Reddit.

While realistically I wasn’t expecting the death of Reddit, I had hoped something would happen, but, it’s now 2 days later and subs are open and it’s business as usual. Some gaming subreddits are even taking absolutely atrocious stands where they claim they HAVE to be open for the upcoming update to XYZ game. r/Games somehow thinks the various gaming showcases is justification for staying open, and r/Halo justified coming back online because Halo Infinite launches Season 4 next week. Funny enough, I was just perm banned from r/Halo because I called the mods out…
