My hp laptop has some bang & Olufsen speaker in it, and on Linux it sounds faint no matter what I try. Mic also very low volume.

Recently discovered revanced could patch boost and I’m back on Reddit.

After a few months on just Lemmy, I found too much of the content was about Linux, foss, and how much the internet sucks now.

Agree, the decentralisation will lead to smaller but possibly more tight knit communities.

There’s pros and cons to this, depending on how niche the subject is.

I’ll definitely stop using reddit on mobile though. Old reddit will be my go to.

Regarding point three: I want to be able to migrate my profile to another instance if my current instance has performance issues or admins going rogue.

Very happy and reminds me of the old pre-digg Reddit days! My main concerns are

• If I pick a popular server it will go down due to performance issues, but if I get a smaller one it may go offline because it’s just a small hobby project. I don’t want to lose my account.

• I’m worried about communities duplicating on other instances and me not being able to ask questions to the same pool of people with xposting

I agree but also, gates are open wide if you ask me. I’m missing some communities here and it’s going to be a long time before there are enough users to make it a worthy replacement for Reddit.
