Yes, yes they did. It’s actually a pretty fun watch.
It deals with the licensing fiasco that occurred when the game released.
Many companies saw the potential in the game’s popularity and so an all out bidding war/competition for rights occurred between Soviet Government, Bulletproof, Holobyte, Mirrorsoft and most notably Nintendo.
“Sell me this pen”
“Okay.” *takes pen “Write down your name.”
“I need a pen.”
“Exactly. Supply and demand.”
I think that ease of use is the biggest hurdle at the moment. While yeah Mastodon has grown it’s also improved quite a bit. The onboarding is much more streamlined versus six months ago.
Those barriers are getting better but are still there for Lemmy. Apps are starting to come which is fantastic but the users need to want to engage with the platform. Streamlined sign up, improved features and UI improvements will need to continue to evolve in order to grow the user base.
I had it on original Nintendo. But the Gameboy version is almost the same (to my knowledge) just without the color pallet.
Also the story of Tetris and how it got lisenced is crazy. The new Tetris movie is a fun (albeit with Hollywood coat of paint) recount.
Tetris. Straight original is so simple accessible and addictive. I really haven’t cared for much else they done with it since. It was perfection also out the gate.
Also, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. I can play it anytime, anyplace. The gameplay, music, graphics even today just feel so go for being 2D
Watch out behind you.
I’m excited to see Kamala again because while it wasn’t really my demographic the Ms. Marvel show was pretty good. But I’m still underwhelmed by Brie Larson as Captain Marvel.
It looks like the villain is Dar-Ben which is kinda a second-rate Ronan by my understanding.
Just from the preview I have no inclination that anything is really at stake. Three super powered heroes, one of which has a reputation throughout the galaxy. What’s at stake? There’s a throwaway line about destroying worlds but that’s not really stakes when the viewer knows there won’t be any “Snap/Blip” event because that kinda of thing they’d save for a Avengers movie.
They’re called ilgaak. Inuit snow goggles. They are a precursor to sunglasses that reduced the glare of the snow and the sun. Very cool!
Mattress Firm.
…I’ve said to much…
