As someone who have years in arknights gacha can say it is good. The biggest joke is that Hypergryph company behind Arknights creation is a music company and then Gacha and etc. So music direction is always great in all PV for events or character songs. I would say they first season bit lore heavy and is worst in terms of story, mostly rough start of gacha story that was revised. Second season and Third is where the peak of AK storytelling… There is a lot to cover storywise so 3rd season won’t end Chapter one (out of 2 which ending soon on CN, global is behind as typical gacha but by 6 months only).
So moving away my bias as gamer and purely on anime. I would say it’s decent and good if you can close your eyes on some aspects. The minus are typical anime tropes of child protagonist, amnesiac main character, child is face of the organization. Pluses would be that it is really grounded world building with big premise on suffering of incurable disease and treatment of poor/ill/different race and even specific racism against one race.
So give it a thought, if you enjoyed a bit first season then second will be even better.
I wanted to try free tier, but amount of time spending to wait in line to play a game was too much.add in that it was laggy and you can’t just leave and come back. Now they will get free ad space for people who didn’t even try service yet due… Amount of wait time in line. But speaking as someone who is redirected to Russian servers by default (too small country to have local server of course). Wonder how free tier experience for others in “good” countries.
I saw many artists going to Misskey.io because it’s main instance even English speaking ones until they gone back to twitter, stayed on Misskey or half measures. Then because of EN influx in mainly Japanese server , Misskey.io closed doors to non-Japanese add in fact that Misskey or rather any federated service can’t oblige to European Union protection standard which means they can’t operate in EU officially.
So I see lots of messages on Misskey about artists making blue sky accounts as well… All depends where they get more views I guess or have people supporting them around.

Thought bot will show up on Kbin but didn’t
There is some issues that some users aren’t showing up on kbin.social but wanted to test it anyway.
After waiting last day and having 160~ pulls. Got 2 Swire2 and GG before last 50~ pulls so had to use gold certs and managed to nab Eyja2. Still keeping with I only need to spark CNY operators and have other limited. Sparking Eyja2 next year when yo have all summer limited would be such pain.

I don’t use Kbin for microbloging. Had started at Mastodon.social>Kbin>Misskey.io .
Switched from posting from Mastodon to Misskey as more people I would enjoy content or would watch my content (well being En speaking on JP server has it -) but I play Arknights and do silly challenge clear that I enjoy, so posting it there with # that will pickup our kbin magazine. Most of art is on Misskey.io as it is on the rumours for many was, but they limited it to Japanese with ever new server being English one.
So use Kbin Microblog to see anything interesting show up on magazine or just in general. Mastodon for “war” news and reports while Misskey for fan art.
Honestly First 2 test plates I was okay not bad, You have wiggle room.
Third one… Nope, those risks absurd and combining them is not fun at all.
Which is why I don’t even want to show clear of 3rd test plate with niche I play, even if I uploaded on youtube

Difference between Kbin and Lemmy is how they show their threads. Lemmy does community self boosting that’s why it shows in Mastodon Groups, Kbin does not.
Mastodon working on groups but last I heard about it is in August I think… so nothing yet.
You can manually add lemmy and Kbin threads by posting link into Mastodon search, but again not useful and only when you want to respond not lurking.
I would also want more interactivity with threads as I use my Misskey.io account much more for posting but have to do jump hoops for threads I want to share show up. You can’t make threads to Kbin from Mastodon/Misskey as they are sorted to microblogs, while addressing @ to lemmy community will work to make a thread.
All in all we are yet to have good communication between threads and microblogs, my solution for that is set up Mastodon bot that checks RSS feed of my community/magazine and post whenever new thread is made. Afterwards just copy link from bot in mastodon search and you can view/reply.

I didn’t want to use this measure, but I won’t ask people to resolve on their end. I appreciate all responses I would get, as we are rather new community compared to others. What we have compared to reddit or any other forum site that we can cross post between different servers and services, which means direct interaction with different kind of people while being in your own beloved website/service/Instance.

I might as well introduce myself. If you look look at my @kotking you wouldn’t see much activity, but my kbin account is mostly for ease of access. You can see my activity more on @kotking and @kotking have even activity graph per user. Question then how will I help out and moderate if I am less active on Kbin? Well Everything on Fediverse has rss feed, here for our magazine https://kbin.social/rss?magazine=arknights . Add to that Misskey has widget for Rss feed, and I can monitor most of the time, while engaging with Misskey leisurely. If you need help explaining Fediverse and whatnot you can address on Mastodon and Misskey as I am more likely to see message and I am also active at Arknights Discord, so you can mention me for any advice there too. Kbin is in early stages of development so at this point when this message is written, know that my aim and many who would come, to make this place a cozy home without thinking about reputation, being gated by karma or having their opinion bashed and hidden from the view. Ask questions, do dumb things but remember about consequences and not to push your ideals on others or make them uncomfortable to speak with you. Also you might guess I tend to not be short in my answers, so beware of no TL:DR!

Yeah I would agree that for casual conversation Discord overtook for me. I was lurking r/warframe and after losing pc capable running game started gacha and discussed on r/Arknights. So with api fiasco I left Reddit and tried Mastodon… have account and check it out but there is no activity on #arknights , joined discord server for R/Arknights that was made during blackout and still going strong. Like I got better of R/Arknights and not on Reddit. People some use Reddit, some silently, some like me abandoned and even people who never used Reddit joined. Moderating m/Arknights on Kbin but with Kbin dev having unlucky strike and generally hopping he have health to both have normalcy and work on Kbin. So without proper mod tools and some broken features (like webp not displaying, where microblogs from Misskey converts to webp to consolidate space) and some other little wants that I would propose if I knew there would be implemented.
Using Misskey.io before it closed registration to Japanese only (happens when everyone was leaving twitter for Musk dumb thing he implemented). With Misskey at least found artists and players for Arknights but as it is Japanese instance, they only thing I can do is share art so #arknights tag weren’t dead on Mastodon.social .
So TL DR left Reddit, joined sub Reddit discord server which is where I spend most of my leisure time, using Mastodon for news, Kbin for moderation (but no one visits, at least no spam as I clean up) and news , Misskey for fan art.
