Never understood you southpaws lol
Never understood you southpaws lol
Man that game was so weird and quirky! It was fun, but I also remember having problems exiting the game for some reason lol. It’s available from GOG if you ever get the itch.
Absolute yes to Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice!
I’m not totally sure, but i think bookshop does profit sharing regardless if the indie bookstore you designate is actually the seller/shipper. I subscribe to Libro.fm (a drm free audible alternative), and they do the same thing. I can designate an indie store and Libro splits a percentage of the profits with them.
I am familiar! (as an owner of too many boardgames) I think this could work for a lot of things!
Thiftbooks is my goto for used but I’ve always used Abe as a backup. For new I use bookshop.org. So disappointing. I will check out alibris. I know the name, but have never used the service.
Not AbeBooks!?! 😲😭
I really like this, and I will probably use it, but I hate clickbate thumbnails with a passion and avoid them as much as I can.
I recommend the audiobook if you’re not opposed to audio books in general. It’s a less effort way of consuming Frank Herbert’s prose.
Dune is phenomenal but it’s a product of its time (Golden age of scifi). Characters are obtuse archetypes with no agency whatsoever. Plot is used as a hammer in order to convey the authors message. Women are either passive and helpless, or essentially a male character in women’s clothing. With all that said, the world building is PHENOMENAL.
I couldn’t make it through Dune 2. Stopped about halfway through. I loved every second of Prelude, which is a trilogy written by Frank Herbert’s son and I HIGHLY recommend it.
Fallout 76 🤣
I will check it out! Known about it for a long time but I’ve never really taken a look.
If you were ever a fan of Rollercoaster Tycoon, check out Parkitect. It’s a phenomenal and fun themepark game!
I’m almost always a lurker but I have abandoned Reddit on principal and come here. I’ve replaced the infinity app on my homescreen with Beehaw and It gives me my reddit fix. I’m more likely to comment here too, since It doesn’t feel pointless due to the size of most subreddits. I’ve been leery of Reddit for a long time with ownership changes, the crap websites and apps, and their lack of reaction to toxic and hate riddled subs. This place is a welcome change.
Isometric Theme Park simulators. I’m in love with Parkitect and have fond memories playing Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 as a kid.
Hitman is one of my favorite stealth games in this way.
I have a huge shelf of shamepportunity (see what I did there? Now no one can correct me! 🤣) what I like vs what I get to play with my friends/SO vary greatly.
Some of my favorites
I just picked up The Last Stand: Aftermath, and have been really enjoying playing that game.
A few of my absolute favorites
Battletech
Witcher 3
Parkitect
