I’m admittedly playing Honkai: Star Rail, and do so daily, although I’m just waiting for new story content so it’s just dailies.

besides that, I’ve been thinking of playing Pillars of Eternity, and hoping it would click for me this time. I struggle with focusing on one game, and will normally skip around, but I want to get better about that.

lastly, I’m really wanting to get Baldur’s Gate 3, and Jagged Alliance 3. I know BG3 isn’t out of early access yet, so I’m waiting, but Jagged Alliance 3 looks fun af, and I’ve heard lots of good things from a family member about the series.

I’ve admittedly added an Intel NUC to my wishlist even before you mentioned it, hahahaha, in case the thin client ends up not working out. it only accepts m2s, and only two of them, but they can’t be nvmes which kinda sucks.

from what I’ve read, though, apparently AMD stuff doesn’t gel well with transcoding, but I could have read incorrect info.

I don’t actually have a clue on how to run a server that isn’t an RPi (since DietPi installs certain things for you) but maybe there’s hope I could copy the info from the old server to the NUC if things go that route in the future.

how do you like audiobookshelf? I really have been enjoying podcasts lately (though they’re all writing related, so far) but I don’t really want to pay a subscription to listen to them on my computer, so I was considering trying audiobookshelf out.

I really just wanted something that could have separated recipes and grocery lists, because my partner is long distance and I wanted this to help them out too. those were my only requirements, I just hadn’t known my full range of options at the time.

I had been looking for an RSS reader to keep up with some news things since I don’t go on reddit anymore, but I found out that Homarr has a widget for it. trying that out now.

KitchenOwl seems to be newish? it has multiple accounts and households, which is nice, but my family member complained it was unnecessarily complicated.

I’ve seen Paperless around, I feel like it might potentially be useful for me, since I have a lot of medical stuff going on, plus doggo vet things. but that’s probably a future project, since I still have to add more things to my Jellyfin. thank you for reminding me it exists!

I don’t know if this is helpful at all in the slightest, but have you considered looking at covers of Taylor Swift’s music? or the other artists you mentioned? for me, hearing covers and the different ways that people interpret it has been nice, and still allowed me to enjoy the originals when I come back to them.

for me, I’m really fixated on Cassette Beasts, because Pokemon has been disappointing for me for a long while now. I keep debating on whether I buy it now, or wait until they implement the online multiplayer they just announced.

I thought I was really desperate after my last ex broke up with me, because part of me wanted companionship back (I was in the relationship for 8 years) so badly that I felt like I would do anything for it.

I realized though that, in addition to being asexual, I was aromantic, and that the partnership I wanted was a queer platonic one. I know this basically not anything like other people want but I thought I’d share regardless.

I have no desire to go on dating apps, because what would it do for someone like me? I met my first ex through fandom RP, and my second ex through school. my QPP I also met through RP, and we now write together every day. we bond a lot through creating stories together, and although we’re in two separate countries for now, the relationship has been going strong for several years. hobbies I feel are always a good starting place for trying to meet people, for what that’s worth.

a major thing for me has been communication. try to always keep in mind that playing games isn’t going to get you anywhere. honest communication may suck sometimes, but I had it really nailed into me that it was important, and so I try to practice that every day with my partner.

I saw this thread and immediately felt the need to recommend this game as well! was one of the only games I had the guidebook for as a kid. one of my favorite games for the gameboy.
