Unfortunately for me it’s the latter

It’s suffocating to be in a middle management position because you get squeezed by the higher-ups and your own team. If the higher-ups make a decision that your team dislikes or vice versa, you’re going to be in the shitter with whichever party suffered every time even if you had the best intentions.

I think people are treating this with too much hype. It feels like I’m on Reddit. I know it’s incredibly easy to react sensationally, and I don’t blame anyone for doing so, but a little levelheadedness would have been better. More “Huh, there are issues” instead of “Holy crap Linus just got destroyed”.
