I’m hostile towards telemetry by default because of how much spyware there is in today’s technology. I’ll only allow it if it’s reasonable ( e.g. a GPS getting your location, system diagnostics for software devs ) and it’s consentual.

I plan on eventually boycotting English as much as I can. Both because of what global English represents, and to counteract the massive international pressure to do everything in English and its consequences.
In my experience, most Windows-exclusive games work just fine under Wine. It’s not that big a deal.
This thread isn’t even about Windows games per se, but about a few games whose anti-cheats are screwing over Linux users.
Not sure why there are so many downvotes. Are there really that many people in here of all places who think gaming is just triple-A games from companies that don’t respect their players and nothing else?
Edit: wording
The fact that you don’t know what Grimm’s Law is means you don’t actually know English.
That our memories are all we really know and have. They’re also volatile, and are usually changed to support a narrative.
Be careful.
Individualism.
Backups of my old computers.
Force all social media to become non-profits.
Depends on what “existential dread” means.
I stand corrected. Still gross asf though.
Same. This place has serious “I use Ubuntu btw” vibes for me.
Why is Archland (btw) so small? Where’s Manjaroland, EndeavourOSville, etc?
What specs do you have that makes GIMP load in 2 milliseconds?
Ugh, Chr*me. Disgusting.
Also, they called themselves National Socialists. After all, would a government ever lie?
Windows is where it is because of Microsoft’s aggression. There’s no essence inside Windows that makes it widespread ex nihilo.
Linux isn’t as widespread as it could be because many people don’t realise it’s a viable alternative to Windows or Mac. It has nothing to do with how many distros there are. Also, newbies are usually recommended Ubuntu or Linux Mint, so it’s not even “so many choices” to begin with.
Also, you do realise you can interact with instances other than yours, right? I use lemm.ee btw.
Tell me you’re new to Linux without telling me you’re new to Linux.
Neither.
