I have a Raspberry Pi 3b (I think) that handles Nextcloud just fine. It currently has an old 500 GB hard drive, but I’m about to upgrade to a 3TB. It isn’t configured for external access, but as I recall setting up the ports and domain seemed relatively trivial.
This is actually the Tails project merging with Tor. The Tor project manage Tails and not the other way around.
I’d feel worse if they didn’t so richly deserve it.
For once, I hope Verizon wins
Yes, I know it’s difficult to impossible to avoid China in this domain. That won’t stop me trying. :)
Tapo looks promising. If Frigate is too much for the Pi, I have a couple of retired PCs that could be recommissioned. Thanks for the suggestion.
I’ll check them out. Thanks!
Another new project to consider. Thanks!
Thanks for the suggestion. Amcrest is a new one to me. I’ll check them out.
Amcrest is a new one for me. Doing more research, but thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have a hard time trusting a company that appears to try to hide its country of origin. And I’m not interested in anything made by a Chinese company.
I’m not interested, for numerous reasons, in anything produced by or in China.
I really like the concept of PoE cameras for the same reasons. Given where they’ll be installed, I’d rather only climb onto the roof or into attic crawlspaces once. :)
Agreed on all points. And I’m sure the US is not unique.
Come to think of it, the national anthem is also about the flag. We have a real fetish for cloth crafting.
The flaw in the plan is that three or four large-flag cadres could conspire to support each other and overwhelm a protest.
Ultimately, flags are just symbols similar to any other logo. But I’d still prefer just to see them banned from Canvas rather see Canvas turn into an r/place arms race.
Don’t know if you’re familiar with the US Oath of Allegiance that every school kid is forced to recite at the beginning of the day, but it’s literally an oath to a flag. Completely fucked up, IMO.
Love the handle, BTW. :)
I think downloading is against Google’s TOS. Whether that makes it illegal is a question for a lawyer.
Given how much data they hold on a significant number of people, that’s mildly terrifying.
