I think this is about another issue. The article says they removed the view image button, which is not the issue here. On Firefox mobile, or any browser with a user agent other than chrome, you cannot zoom on an image, or open the context menu where you can share it, save it, open it in a new tab …
They basically override the default image behavior to make it awful to use if your user agent is not chrome.

The article mentions the extension “make google search great again” which is slightly different from “google search fixer” that only changes your user agent.

The author probably is using stable diffusion, a self hosted open source AI, no restrictions. If you have a good enough GPU (8go VRAM recommended, 4go min) check AUTOMATIC1111 stable diffusion on GitHub.
There are online services or Google collab if you can’t but I never tried any.
