I dig the second one, I’m in the process of building a .300blk as my own spin on the honey badger and its profile is going to be very similar. Your style is also incredibly dope. Something very punk/diy about it. I am a fan all around!

Lmao I’m in the same boat. Accidentally fell down the ricing rabbit hole, lived out of tiling window managers for a bit, and now I’m in gnome since it finally seems to be on par with my rose tinted memories of unity. I appreciate the reply, different strokes for different folks. If you don’t mind me asking, what sort of aesthetic do you go for with your Linux config? Is it more of a matte, or something different?
Totally understandable, beauty being in the eye of the beholder and all. I appreciate the response, thank you
Interesting, this happened to be one of my favorite looks for windows. It came across as comfortable and professional without looking like plastic or feeling sterile. A comfy medium between dark and light mode, and the glass window decorations were a nice little touch. If you don’t mind me asking, what was it that you didn’t like? Not looking for beef, just perspective.
Yeah definitely a thing. I’m not familiar with the book you had mentioned, but I know from the show Bones, the main character Temperance Brennan, is very autism coded. It’s never officially indicated, in the show, what her deal is when it comes to social interactions, but it’s been hinted on officially by staff and writers that she is autistic to some degree. It’s not a very accurate portrayal of high functioning autism, however it technically counts I guess?
When it comes to how I’m feeling? Sure, often even
I watched a few gameplay videos, but nothing educational. I was just looking for a demo to see what it played like and figured the game would guide me the rest of the way. I’m being completely honest, I never figured out how to play with anyone else. I went to the main room, picked my mission, shot down by myself and died repeatedly. I never thought to try the quick play option. I promise I’m not trolling or trying to yuck anyone else’s yum, I just don’t think I’m made for the game or the game is made for me.
I definitely appreciate the info you gave me. If I ever do decide to give it another shot, I’ll keep that information in mind, but I don’t think that’ll be happening anytime soon. I’ve got plenty of other games in my library to keep me busy without this weird learning curve
I’m bummed I missed my window to return it through steam. I downloaded it, gave it a couple tries and just couldn’t figure out what I was supposed to be doing or when the fun was supposed to start. I couldn’t figure out how to play with other people or what guns I was supposed to use against whatever enemy. None of it made sense and seemed like it was all just hype with no substance. It’s still in my library, but I don’t think it’ll ever get a reinstall. I wish I could just gift it to someone else
Nah, just his career and reputation. The man himself is still alive
The T is both silent and invisible in Suki’s name?
Twice, I think. I believe Suki also translates to moon
This is what I’ve been chasing for a while. Bspwm like tiling with a unity like interface for the status bar, dock, system management, etc. I’ve been debating trying this through xfce or kde but havent had the spoons to give it a go
I think I have a hotdog in my coat pocket. You’re welcome to have at it
That’s more so what I was meaning, my father’s gen x from the early side and watched it with us as kids, including my older brother who’s on the tail end of gen x. I guess it really does come down to proximity to millenials
Different time. Air bud came out in 97. This was well before “woke” was a thing conservatives thought they were afraid of. 9/11 didn’t happen yet. America was a very different place and America loved Disney. This would have been watched by a lot of gen x, both on the early end as parents, and on the late end as children. Millennials have seen it for sure, myself being one of them. I think the odds are pretty high that someone would catch on sooner rather than later.
I think you’re absolutely right about the eternal summer. A new demographic of users takes over. The tourists move in. The shame of it is that as noted, it’s an inevitability for any social media, it’s just a matter of time.
I think the problem is that reddit is suffering the same fate as Facebook. It’s no longer a niche Internet community, it’s been overrun by people who think it’s hip and in. It’s been taken over by people who speak some of the language, but don’t get the culture. No one knows when the narwhal baconed anymore. Lemmy is exhibiting the earlier stages of reddit. Small groups that are growing, plus a looooot of star trek fans sprinkled throughout.
I remember hearing that the allies had a similar plan. They air dropped a ton of extra large condoms, but labeled them small/medium so the Nazis would think their enemies are packing the meatiest of girthmeisters to ever exist
Is this satire? Maps help people find places, that’s the concern?
It’s very kind of you to ask
