You would think they could add an induction charger and actually make it “magic”-ly charge.

Sigh… Its the same as it always was, the people who hate Star Wars the most themselves the biggest fans of Star Wars.
Everything made after they were a child is not as good because it never lives up to the nostalgia.
Well you see, the Vikings discovered Iceland and Greenland and named them accordingly.
My dream is that if the nordic league ever develops a space program and creates a colony on mars, they should name it Blueland just to keep up with the bit.
They used to be contained, every village has their idiot. Now that the internet is the global village, all the formerly isolated idiots have a place to chat.
The games are a sequle, CDPR got the rights to make a game based on the IP in the early 2000s and just did their own thing.
W1 was a bit rough, plot wise it tried to incorporate a lot of the existing world but played the amnesia card so everyone had to explain shit to Geralt (and by extension the player).
W2 is a direct follow up to W1 and put CDPR on the world stage by being the high water mark for graphics requirements around 2010. Still a very good game, a bit on rails for modern standards, but still fantastic for how it handles branching paths.
W3 + DLC won all the awards in their respective release years for a reason, they are magnificent and with CDPR spending 15 years in the IP they make tons of call backs to the books without the players feeling like they are missing something if you didnt read them.
There are 2 (ok… 4) TV shows.
The netflix shows starring Henry Cavil, king of the nerds, (who is being recast by the least hot hemsworth because netlfix pissed off the books biggest fan) and what ever that second one was that we dont talk about (There is also an anime, which is pretty good) and the Hexer, a made-for-TV low budget show that loosly follows the plot of the early books, it in polish and I dont think it was ever dubbed (I managed to find it with subtitles years ago).
I know this is more than you asked for but, enjoy the games, enjoy the books, be aware of the fan opinions of the shows.
Dont forget the DLCs, both won awards independently of the base game.
No officer, its “Hi, how are you”.
[Internet High-Five] Yah, tony’s is great.
EvE expert here, in addition to this, safe spots are created by warping between two points and using the “save bookmark” feature to drop a pin mid-warp. You then turn the ship around to warp to the empty location you saved. Making multiple safe spots and warping between them will drag you away from common warp vectors and celestial object allowing for some truly remote locations. This is important for being able to run and hide until your aggression or log-off timers expire (without a cloaking device).
Back in the day there were exploits that would allow people to throw themselves more than ~14 AU away from objects you could warp to and make safe spots. Most of these have been removed from the game but the ones that remain are golden tactical tools for Fleet Commanders and are worth a ton to keep secret.
Well duh, it hits their bottom line now when mods black-out major subs in protest.
But yall already know that…
The people who hate star wars the most are themselves the biggest fans of star wars.
A rushed game is usually pretty bad, a delayed game is eventually good. While I dont hold AC in very high regard, im glad they told people that it needs more time to cook instead of throwing it out there half-baked.
The meme has a fair point, but its not my gripe with the insurance industry. Im of the opinion that the managers for collective risk products should not be for-profit organizations.
In the US, if a hypothetical agency or one of those weird orgs like the postal service ran national insurance they would not be as profit driven and their proximity to other governennt bodies would push much needed regulations forward.
With Proton and SteamOS, that list is becoming much smaller. I mostly rag on Mac these days as they now get the least support. Due to Apple charging devs to publish on the platform, they get less support, fewer updates and inflexible hardware. For example, I have someone in a group BG3 playthrough that has build compatibility broken all the time when patches come out for windows/proton.
Its even worse during Allston Xmas, the city in its infinite wisdom decided that most leases end on the same day. All the schools also have the new semester start right around the same time, and all the new students arrive within that few day window.
Lets paint this picture, the city is in panic mode as the student population makes up ~25% of the population of Boston, and they are all returning for the new semester. They likely have just moved as their old lease is up and their new one starts on the same day. They will take all of their worldly possessions and put them into the back of their friends sedan and drive to their new place, anything that wont fit is left on the curb. The previous tenant of the new place did the exact same thing. They put all the things they care for into their new place and decide which furniture from the previous tenant is good enough and put it back inside. Anything left on the curb by ~4 PM is fair game, and will be disposed of by the city next time the collect trash
The freshmen, whos parents are sending their spawn to MIT or BU have a u-haul (that they dont know the height of) carrying all their worldly possions, dispite their tiny dorm not having the room for it (and being told this repeatedly by the school). All it takes is one of these muppets to not pay attention and one of the major arteries into the city is blocked. Traffic will back up for miles, non-masshole drivers operating things that should require a CDL are trying to take short-cuts navigating the narrow boston city roads in small box trucks and every residential street will be a mass of double parked cars as the city collectivly shuffles the entire student population in a day.
Chaos is an understatement (its a lot of fun to watch).
Also according to an angry Italians fanfic of hell, its not really that hot there either. Some little bits of it are, mostly revolving around people who were generally assholes in life, and a non-zero number of recently deceased (See the 14th century) popes the author had an axe to grind with.
From the media I saw about the film it felt like art was the point not profits. Ford Coppola sold a lot of personal assets to fund the movie, so it felt like something he just wanted to do.
