World’s biggest Monster Hunter fan
I know right? I only found out about it when it was mentioned in one of the recent update videos! It’s a godsend for asset exporting!
I certainly can’t explain most of those quirks, but at least I can tell you ‘g’ is for ‘grab’!
No problem, anything to help a fellow blender artist! While there’s a very good reason blender does images like that, it’s admittedly very unintuitive and could definitely use some updates to make it clearer.
Texture painting (and any images in general) are saved as separate files in blender by default! They’re not saved as part of your .blend file. You can press alt+s while your mouse is in the image viewer (or just click the image dropdown menu at the top of the image viewer, which should have an asterisk if your image is unsaved) to save the image.
Alternatively, you CAN pack the images into the blend file! Under the file menu in the top left, select external data > pack resources. Then, whenever you save your blend file it should ask if you want to save the image too. note: you DO need to have saved a separate copy of the image first for this to work, but you do NOT need to keep the separate copy after you’ve packed the file.

Oxygen Not Included - after binging ONI videos all month I finally decided to give actually playing the game a go. Turns out watching lots of high level gameplay does not make you a good player! The struggle is tons of fun though.
Stationeers - A second super complicated game, I just had to hop in and play with all the new robotic arms they just added! Or rather, I would if I could make a functioning station in the first place… Time to go refactor the atmospherics again!
Satisfactory - The hat trick for brain melting games this week, with the release of 1.0 I’ve started up a brand new world and I can’t wait to mess around with all the new toys we’ve got! Unfortunately I’ve been hit with a nasty post-release bug but hopefully they’ll fix it right away and I can continue my factory adventures!
Astro Bot - A game to help unwind after the stress of the other three games, I genuinely cannot comprehend the amount of heart that went into this game! I seriously find myself grinning from ear to ear every time I boot it up, and I’m always looking forward to my next chance to play!
Started up a new world after not playing since like… update 5 I think? Already having a blast with it, though I’ve ran into a bug where coal miners won’t take coal from belts unless you have coal in your inventory and I think I’m gonna have to shelve it until that’s fixed unfortunately…
All the new QoL features are amazing though, and I’m crazy excited to see all the new late game content and what insane production lines I’m gonna havr to think up!
You’re right, there are, but my point was that private MMO servers are significantly harder to host and moderate than a private server in a match-based multiplayer game like say Team Fortress 2. An MMO that relies on private servers is almost certainly doomed to fail, so it must have some form of official server, which then will need some form of cheating prevention.
The issue is that that’s only a solution for a certain type of multiplayer game. MMOs and battle royales for example cannot feasibly implement community servers as their main form of multiplayer connection, because very few people have the capabilities to host such servers, much less moderate them at such high player counts. Heck, there’s even arguments to be made for the value of public matchmaking, despite how often it gets blasted in spaces such as this. Private servers are unfortunately not a one-size-fits-all solution.
I used to hate playstation controllers because they always felt really weird to hold. Even the PS4 controller was terrible for me. With the Dualsense PS5 controller though they just made it an xbox controller with playstation gimmicks and that was such a great move! It doesn’t look too ugly either, since it’s just the same basic shape as an xbox controller. It doesn’t have the nice weight that an xbox controller has and I definitely prefer the joystick layout on xbox, but the haptic triggers, the hd rumble, the trackpad, and the gyro sensor are all things I don’t think I can do without anymore!
I think it’s mostly nostalgia, and the fact that it was kind of the first iteration of the design all controllers use now. The 360 controller was good but it was really only the start. In my opinion each xbox controller has been a massive improvement over the last.
The series x controller is probably the most well refined controller I’ve used, and the only reason it’s not my pick for best controller is because I’m a sucker for all the fancy tricks of the dualsense.
sweet! now my sandwiches will be even tastier!
impossible. they don’t call him mancubus for no reason 🥵
nah this is hella good. we cannot forget that the people we are arguing with are also people. we still need to argue with them and fight against them when they try to take our rights but the whole time we still gotta remember they are people just like us. and that’s gonna make us feel like shit about it sometimes when we’re getting pissed at other people, especially when they’re our community members, but that’s just a reminder that we have empathy and that we are able to care about our fellow man.
I remember at some point hearing a therapist say something along the lines of “I’ve been in hundreds of rough situations. I’ve seen hundreds of cases of abuse and trauma, and the day I start feeling numb towards them is the day I stop being a good therapist.” that’s hella paraphrased of course but I think it gets the point across that sometimes you gotta feel like shit because that lets you know you’ve still got a conscience working in there somewhere.
expanding a bit on this point, one thing we have to remember is that these people do not go away if we get our way. these people still need to be accounted for in whatever new world we want to make, and if you want the same world as I do, where everyone is treated with respect and cared for, then you also gotta be ready to treat these people with respect and care for them. That doesn’t mean you gotta tolerate them when they’re being an intolerant shithead but it does mean that the whole time you’re throwing their shitty ideas out the door you’re still treating them like a human being. remember that dehumanization is nazi shit and we wanna stay far away from that.
I guess I also got a little rambley here but fuck it the internet is for letting your thoughts out whether anyone’s gonna read them or not so I say let it flow
damn I might have time to finish a tenth of gregtech new horizons now!
It’s an amazing update but goodness is it taking me a while to get used to working with the new eevee! Very excited for how much more powerful it is now though!
yup that’s the artist. You also might have seen centurii-chan’s art around. they do similar stuff and have collabed a couple times before
right, but if you do that I think it’s on you to explain why you have that many hours and yet are still leaving a negative review. This comic is specifically parodying the people who don’t provide that context and thus leave it open to interpretation
