I notice it’s never compared to a traditional burial which is better for the environment.
I’d argue that burying concrete, metal, wood, and embalming fluid in the ground is not great for the environment. Green burials on the other hand (buried directly in the ground for the body to quickly decompose) is way more environmentally friendly than the other options - aside from taking up land like traditional burials.
Concrete? Wood and a tiny bit of metal is fine in the earth.
