For those who have had problems before running BDO on linux with the official launcher and not on steam.

It can be run through Bottles using the latest caffe runner.

For those of you running on steam can use the latest proton or experimental and it should work fine.
If anyone finds out any other ways to run it please let us know here. The more ways the merrier. Thanks.
