Can’t believe I ignored this series for years. The first game has aged a bit since it was released in 2011, and the sequel in 2019 has held up and is loads of fun.

Lots of carnage, cool weapons, and the environment is a hell of a lot like Mad Max. Would definitely recommend picking up especially now with the Steam summer sales. They really are hidden gems!

Rage 2 was even free on the epic games store at some point. Surprisingly fun open world shooter.

It does a little bit, the story is a meteorite hits earth and you were placed in cryostasis with thousands of other people with the intention of repairing and repopulating earth one hundred years after the meteorite hits. I thought it was a cool concept personally lol

Rage 1 imo is a little dated when I tried to play it on PC, but Rage 2 looks fun like Mad Max was.

I enjoyed RAGE, it was fun. As silly as this sounds it felt like the most “standard example shooter” in the best way.

I haven’t played it since I beat it 10 years ago, but it was fun and I sorta compare new open world SP shooters to it today still

The pop-in was atrocious, and most of the textures were pretty low fidelity. The gameplay is pretty generic, but very well executed. I enjoyed both, but I don’t know if I would replay them. I do recommend them if they’re on sale.
