    But even those guys will ask for user numbers, and if those are not steadily growing, Reddit’s net worth suffers massively. Potential for steady growth and montarization are the only metrics investors care about.

      Look at how many companies such as Twitter and Tumblr have only had a one or two years where they were generating a profit. For every educated investor there’s 10 more willing to put money into “the next big thing”. Elon Musk has shown that’s trying to sell user data at high costs to AI devs.
