My initial concern is them overloading development, and gaining a monopolous share in determining how it evolves. We can’t stop them from using the protocol, but we should attempt to preserve the original spirit of the protocol despite corporate involvement. And yes, forking is one tool that could become necessary to achieve that aim. Right now it is easy to feel optimistic, but… Let’s try our best and see what happens.
