Several subreddits are allowing porn and not-safe-for-work content to protest Reddit. In response, the platform has removed entire moderator teams from the affected subreddits.
I really want to cut ties with Reddit. I keep reading this stuff to keep me motivated to cut those ties.
Yes, love that I found a new home. But it is an adjustment and the bugs of the apps can be frustrating. But so happy to have a place to engage and to make post. I love Lemmy.
The Lemmy web app is progressive, and you can “install” it on your android phone’s home screen easily enough. But it’s still a web app, and it’s kind of janky, compared to a “real” app.
Though, I’m comparing it to things like Reddit Sync and Apollo, which are fantastic.
Because of their horrendous business decisions I found this place, and MAN has it been a breath of fresh air! Still need to learn my way around though

Honestly, you don’t need any app. I’m using Firefox on mobile and it’s way better than the app I tried.

Sync said they’re working on creating it for Lemmy now.
Same, I never quite got into mastodon (then again I rarely used twitter as well) but this one feels like the first fediverse thing I really love using
