    If you don’t want to be on a platform that aggregates social news, Lemmy probably isn’t the right place for you.

    Your best bet would be to create a community called “gaming discussions” for example, and restrict link posts.

      Theres like multiple threads with either super mario rpg remake or super mario wonder or i saw nintendo direct like 10 times.

      Aggregation is cool and all but there is a line when its link spamming.

      But i found.a workaround :)

        Posting shit that has already been posted is a nuisance no matter if it’s a link or “OC”. The tenth person asking “what’s your favorite game?” or “how do I get past this one boss?” is just as pointless.
