A psychologist can a psychiatrist can’t.
A psychologist is a proper medical degree. People confuse the two terms and use them interchangeably though.
In the US, those terms are reversed; a psychiatrist is a medical doctor and a psychologist is not.
Germany handles it the same way as the USA in this case.
