That isn’t a good way to randomly sample the folks at Lemmy. A poll would be slightly less worse (it isn’t random, but at least it reaches further).
That said I used Reddit for a few years. For all practical purposes I’ve stopped using it completely. (Tiny exception: when people post stuff about Reddit in the Lemmy comm that I mod, I cross-check the info, archive the page, etc.)
We could estimate this by randomly sampling some Lemmy users, with the following questions:
And then comparing it with the total amount of Lemmy users.
