I’m far from pro China, but I think this is a bit of an unfair assessment. Simplest explanation is theyre trying to look out for their economy. They’ve basically been sanctioned out of high end processors. They need to make their own now.
Sure, that’s certainly a valid point. But at the very least it shows that they don’t expect the sanctions to stop anytime soon. Of course that doesn’t necessarily mean that a war with Taiwan is coming.

Yes, but a decent portion of why they’ve been sanctioned is because of said antagoniziation towards Taiwan
