Just so you know, converting the image to WebP (using something like Squoosh) means you can have the best of both worlds. High resolution and low-filesize.
For example, here I took the high-res image you linked to and compressed it down to the same filesize as the smaller preview you posted as the main image:

Yeah, I was just lazy and grabbed the direct link to the image
Edit: I’m not the OP. I just reverse image searched and grabbed a high rest version
