Basically the title. Why are so many gaming content creators bashing other modern games and praising this particular title? Is it because it is a proper offline RPG? Or is it because there’s no “greedy” subscription or play-to-win?

    It’s Skyrim on steroids and probably the first turn based combat game I actually enjoy. Playing with friends elevates this game to my all time favourite in terms of gameplay where everyone can influence the world (I watched one of my friends kick a squirrel like a football and the other getting scammed by a trader).

    Oh and don’t get me started on the absurd amount of stuff to do.

    And the fact that it runs like butter with no glitches in our session so far I’d say this game is well polished

      Isn’t the whole game (including the combat system) just a glorified e-dice throwing ?

      (I never played baldur’s gate nor D&D)
