Well, I can’t actually play it, so this is coming from someone salty a krait.
But, yeah, the game is fucking amazeballs. Incredible graphics, deep character building, fully playable solo and offline, no costs other than the up front ones, a reportedly well crafted storyline, available and playable on multiple platforms. It’s a truly top end game that is very rare now.
When you play (or sit there jealous while seeing gameplay) a game like this, then you go over to some shitty microtransaction infested cash grab bullshit that’s bug infested and features constant frustration as core mechanic, you get pissed at the garbage that’s been foisted on the gaming world.
This is taken not only from me being furious that games like this aren’t the standard, and that it’ll be a year or more before I can arrange to play it, but from talking to other gamers about the game and the state of gaming in general.
Seriously, if you can find someone to let you try it out, take the opportunity. It will show what gaming could and should be.
That makes the both of us, I guess. I could not afford Final Fantasy 16, neither do I have a console in the first place, so I had to watch all the gameplay videos instead.

Assuming nothing goes wrong, I can scrape maybe enough to upgrade my PC’s ram in that time, and I have a cousin that has a spare video card he’s willing to do some trade on for services. But it’ll take a year at least for the RAM with the eight amount I can realistically hold to the side each month.
It’s the least expensive path to having something that can run the game lol. I haven’t upgraded my PC in ages because none of the games I’ve played have needed anything else. So it’s about ten years behind, and that’s that

What type of RAM does your PC have now? It’s not DDR4-3200 is it? If not, is your CPU compatible with that?
if it helps i play it on an I7-920 from 2009 with 16gb of ram DDR3 and it works great i avg 60fps. you would need a good card though i have a 6800XT but I know my cpu is holding that card back, so maybe not that high plus I play on ultra but still looks great on medium
