I’m still playing Suzu’s route in Jack Jeanne, and currently in the rehearsal phase for the fourth play out of five!

So far, the performances have been consistently getting more elaborate and interesting; this one is a big departure from the formula both in plot and cast choices, and has caused lots of drama between the students 👀 MC is put in front of a big challenge as well

In the course of the last performance, the “power hierarchy” in the class has been heavily disrupted and students who played big roles in the first plays are delegated to the sidelines or getting completely different roles in this one, everyone is struggling (and cursing Neji, the director 😆)

BTW, I haven’t really continued playing Love And Deepspace of Tears of Themis. I’ll put these games in the what I’ll call “perfect boyfriend simulator” genre, since a huge part of the gameplay is texting, calling and interacting with the LIs (even if there hasn’t been any build-up through the plot beforehand). I think this format is really not for me, I’d prefer having some plot first to get attached to the characters before the game throws them at me :/

Little anecdote: I played this game while a gacha banner with some kind of sauna (?) theme was going on. It was kinda refreshing to go into the gacha screen and instantly get greeted by loads of abs and half-dressed sweaty ikemen for a change lmao.

Oh wow. Hierarchy disruptions are always fun. Who was an underappreciated talent rightfully lifted up to play a role that they can knock out, whose head will this go to, who’s displaced and resentful and is that resentment justified or not, could they have done a better job and is that superior performance worth denying a learning experience to the new guy… wonder what the director’s reasoning for it is.

texting, calling and interacting with the LIs

Wonder if you can customize your response or not, and if these interactions are written more towards MC or not. I think MysMe may have popularized this but I wonder if they started it—who was the first? And I feel that format not really being for you. This might cross over to “too close to simulating an irl relationship” for me which I realize is a weird stance to take as a self-inserter.
